I fully expect Homer to "kick the tires" on anyone out there. It's his responsibility. Doesn't mean anything happens, but at least he knows what's out there and what it might cost.

he's good like that. i doubt we get him, but if we do i might have to buy a new jersey

i view bobby ryan the same as i view zach parise, if available you have to explore the possibility.

I think the Flyers have, a few times. Cant see there being any major change in what theyre willing to give up for him.

And there's an impact on the player involved, too. Who is still their player when all is said and done if he isn't moved. But it has to affect their feelings about the team. They're human beings.

Oh come on. The Gm just says, "We were never planning to move X. This was a false story and we talked to X about it."

Sure they do. They do it all the time.

It would go down like this. "hypothetical" Homer and Ducks GM have a deal planned. Homer first needs to land Nash. Homer asks the duck's gm, or leaks the information to a source that Ryan is available, then goes to Columbus and says I can give you this, cause we are also looking into Ryan.

- RooNosHockey

In my opinion they don't. It's unprofessional, and it affects your team and the player your using.

Not all of them are stupid. And some of them (Hello, Jeff) are emotional.

Personally, I think it'd be a hard trade to make at this point. I'm not sure we have the kind of pieces they're looking for. Actually, I'm not even sure what they are looking for... cutting down payroll?

Bobby Ryan is reportedly available again for trade, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie. He was involved in several trade rumors throughout the 2011-12 campaign, but was removed from talks after Bruce Boudreau took over the team's head coaching duties. It doesn't mean that Ryan will be moved this time either, but it does add some interesting speculation going into the NHL draft this weekend.

Nash, Staal, Weber (maybe), JayBo, Enstrom, Kane and Ryan...

Flyers will have them all.

Hearing ANA's Bobby Ryan is "available" again after being taken off trade market after Randy Carlyle's Duck departure.

Kids a stud. An infant is smart enough to know they need to lock up a deal with Karlsson.

Weber is the cream of that crop. The way I see it is we have to come up with better players than Ryan and Staal to get him.

Deadline has learned that Rob Zombie will direct Broad Street Bullies, a movie about the notoriously thuggish Philadelphia Flyers hockey team that came into being during the 1970s. The team was famous for playing the supposedly unbeatable Soviet Union team of the time, known as the Red Army. The Flyers ended up playing so violently that the Russians wanted to quit after the first period. They did came back, however, when they were told that they wouldn't be paid unless they played the full game and the Flyers ended up winning 4-1, declaring themselves world champions.

The site says that Zombie plans to make the film something like Rocky meets Boogie Nights and has a quote from the director saying. "Each character involved is more outrageous than the next. The backdrop of the turbulent year of 1974 is perfect for this ‘stranger than fiction’ sports tale."

Cant add that kind of money and add an impact defenseman without clearing a huge amount of salary. JVR and Jagr would be gone for sure.

I don't understand the obsession of acquiring Nash. I'm going to sit in a dark room and try to get to the bottom of this.
