I didn't mean to cause a debate and imply the MODs are doing a bad job. Actually, I think they do a good job dealing with the amount of personalities here. I just wanted to hear what that guy had to say as I didn't feel he was being malicious. I also feel on a site predicated on taking someone at their word the same should go for its posters. IMHO, the debate he sparked was I interesting at the very least and not pages of rambling about my opinion is right and yours is wrong.

The dude had ZERO credibility. When first asked about his source he didn't want to say, then finally days later he said he knew someone that worked with the Flyers. On top of that, all he did was regurgitate what everyone else here already knew. Flyers want Weber and are going to go after him.

If there was even a slight bit of credibilty to it he would have either dropped the subject to not implicate somone, or provide at least some kind a position the person was in... aka he is a janitor of the skate zone and overhears things....

I would have liked to keep hearing what he had to say because I enjoyed busting his chops, but he crossed the line when he refused to name his source or drop the topic. Then he jumped completely over the line when he basically told Bo to "stuff it" I enjoyed watching her snipe his butt.

I am with Scoob on this. Its just not that hard. If you drink at all, you shouldnt drive. If you are driving, no texting either. Politicans are just too weak to force this law on people. Getting behind a wheel is the single most dangerous behavior we do. By FAR. Its safer to sky dive or bungie jump.

For me there is no debate. I am not taking any added risk for me or my family.

I hate this waiting game and really try not to speculate too much (see the post from earlier about gym socks vs. xbox). I just want to sit tight and pray that homer does the right thing. Its easy to get expecations up and be dashed when things go sideways.

What did him in was when he told Miss Bo to "BAN ME THEN!!" with that extremely snarky, egocentric attitude.

Up until then, he was treading the line, but not quite crossing it.

I have no issues with him getting sniped, either.

Problem solved. If you can't afford a cab you sure as won't be able to afford your lawyers fees for a DWI, or worse when you are facing 25 ears for Vehicular Manslaughter. And that's not even considering the cost your family endures if you were killed in accident. I live on Long Island and it's a big problem here. In the past few years alone we've lost 3 cops who had been hit by drunk drivers and infamous case where a young guy crashed his pickup into a limo coming from a wedding killing a 5 year old girl and another person as he merged the wrong way on the parkway. He will spend the rest of his life in federal prison. There is just not one good reason. If you can't afford it call a buddy or walk.

I said before and I will say again. Drinking and driving is not illegal, drinking too much and driving is. I cant say I never made a bad judgement call when I was younger, but I do not drive drunk now, nor do I plan to again. You guys can say all you want about better be safe then sorry, safer to not... Well its safer if you never step outside your house. You going to go that far? What about all those people on thier percocets driving to work? Is drunk driving a problem? Yes. But those of us that are responcible about it should not bare the brunt of other people's mistakes. And your not going to convince me that I am a bad person, or I'm making a bad judgement call by having 2 beers with my dad for fathers day, then driving home after.

Anyone think that Anaheim putting Ryan on the Market just to lower the value of Nash big time?

Let me clarify. Not trading Ryan to lower Nash's value, but just putting him out there, and most likely not trading...

No, teams don't put a player on the market and talk with other teams about said player just to mess with another team and it's players.

And there's an impact on the player involved, too. Who is still their player when all is said and done if he isn't moved. But it has to affect their feelings about the team. They're human beings.

I fully expect Homer to "kick the tires" on anyone out there. It's his responsibility. Doesn't mean anything happens, but at least he knows what's out there and what it might cost.

Sure they do. They do it all the time.

It would go down like this. "hypothetical" Homer and Ducks GM have a deal planned. Homer first needs to land Nash. Homer asks the duck's gm, or leaks the information to a source that Ryan is available, then goes to Columbus and says I can give you this, cause we are also looking into Ryan.
