That's the thing, when it come to DWI the first mistake is often one that ruins a lot of lives. Throw in my profession, and losing someone very close to be because of it hence the no tolerance.

Totally agree. Its something America is trying to crack down on. Very stupid that he did what he did. Can't argue that. I'm just glad to see that no one was injured.

I think Bouwmeester can benefit from a change of scenery, but his cap hit doesn't wash with his performance.
- PLindbergh31

He hasnt been any better than Coburn (not that Coburn has been bad) and is making nearly 3 mil more a year..

No excuse for ever getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated.

JayBo is more overpaid than Rich Nash in terms of play, imo.

I'd rather pay Pronger to just sit at the end of the bench and open the door to the bench.
- RooNosHockey

again...i'm not a huge fan of his. but Bouwmeester CAN move the puck effectively, play HALF of a hockey game, play EVERY game, and has above average defensive skills.

he's not worth the money...but he's a top pairing Dman for sure

sayin...

divide lindback's in four.
- OrangeBlack27

why would lindy's value be that much higher? Cuz he's got 4 inches on Bob?

it's not a bargain, but i don't find him terribly out of place here

D-men definitely get overpaid looking at that list. Not sure Briere is going to be waiving his NMC to head out to Calgary.

I think Bouwmeester would quickly supplant Matt Carle as the whipping be here.

What a criminal mastermind. Dude was rolling around town with $8K worth of coke and $4K in cash in a Kia Soul covered with "El Wingador" decals and signs. Nice and low key. Very inconspicuous.

Thus far my sources have been unable to confirm the rumor that he was on his way to Carter's beach house to deliver the coke.

Yeah. PLind usually has a picture of Eli Manning holding the Lombardi Trophy as his avatar.

top 6 forward...maybe something else if that forward isn't JvR.

again, i'm not backing this 100%....but i can see what Holmgren is looking to do (get another top Dpairing blue liner with the abundance of forward talent)

i'm sure Calgary would love to part with that cap hit.

And the way to crack down on it is to make the punishment for first time offenders as stringent as possible. I might be in the minority, but I think first time offenders should receive mandatory jail time if convicted, and loss of license for 3 years.

But enough about this, it's not the appropriate forum to discuss.

More like Blowmeester.

Why are we even talking about this guy? Thats a burden of a contract.

I think Bouwmeester has a fair amount more offense to his game than Coburn does, but I see your point.

That works for me. More if there are injuries and/or death to innocents.

Goes without saying Scoob. I'm with you. I'm the Officer from my Dept. that always attends MADD meetings, and I'm constantly speaking at schools etc whenever I get the chance. It's a subject that is very important to me, if I can make one person think twice about driving while intoxicated I feel I'm doing a small service in keeping the community safe.

Winnipeg may need a goaltender depending on what happens with Pavelec. Not the craziest suggestion in the world.

Not enough to warrant that contract..

He hasnt cracked 30 points over the past 3 seasons, and has one more goal than Coby (12 to 11) over that span as well.

agree. no reason to think his production wouldn't jump by 20 goals at least. i'm sure the jets would jump at a riskier forward with a big contract and a backup goalie in return. no-brainer.
