so...i think all this Weber talk isn't going to pan out, and the guy Holmegren is going to land is (sorry dudes/chicks) Jay Bouwmeester

think about it:

JBo, despite his huge price tag and lack of physicality can log a HUGE amount of minutes and skates/carries the puck extremely well. he is better defensively than his +/- has been the past couple years. and he does have some offensive upside. i see Homer targeting Bouwmeester more for a replacement for Kimmo than for Pronger.

now, i'm not saying i'm FOR THIS, but i do think that's a possibility. also, that would most likely cost FAR less than the bounty for Weber. probably one top 6 forward...and the salary would probably allow the Flyers to sign Matty C as well.
