Weber was deemed the savior, Nash will only be excepted if he can score 1098763 goals a game and parise and suter are fighting it out for the finally roster spot.

Because JVR wasn't out/hurt for most of the season or anything, right? If anyone thinks that JVR hit his ceiling last year, they are infected with Weber-fever. If you're going to tout JVR as the centerpiece to land a franchise defenseman, try giving credit where it is due...

but even at 30 goals, their production can be replaced...we saw that with the emergence of our younger players *edit after getting rid of Carter/Richards. some young players had career years that they might not be able to quite reproduce (Simmonds and Read)...but they never projected to be far off from that.

you don't think Schenn will increase his performance? and even Couts? hell, i could even see a kid like Wellwood stepping up. The point is, that the Flyers have a TON of young talent at forward. you use that to get the best dman (or one of) in the game.

Yep. Guessing Backstrom might be moving or retiring or something. Lot of cash spent on goalies in Minnesota

Josh Harding's preference would be to stay in Minnesota, and he'd like to do so on a multiyear contract. The 28-year-old is slated to be an unrestricted free agent July 1, and if he is signed would be the likely backup to 35-year-old Niklas Backstrom for at least one more year. "A one-year deal right now doesn't make really much sense for us," Harding said. "That's what we're having talks with [GM Chuck Fletcher] about, and we'll make the best decision for both of us. But it's a business, too, and I want to be a No. 1." Fletcher is optimistic he can get something completed. Harding went 13-12-4 with a 2.62 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage this past season.

Thank you for this. I couldn't understand who Harding was and why he'd resign.

This is not a correction to humiliate anyone, but one to help you all be clear, because the mistake is rampant.

resign (rih-ZYN) means you're quitting your job
re-sign (ree-SYN) means you're keeping your job

It's ok. Bryz would prefer to play with a forward who scored and was plus in the playoffs.
