Haven't heard anything today, sorry.
Last thing that was told to me was what I mentioned yesterday- Snider wants to put Schenn, Couturier in play. Homer very reluctant, as he should be. |

But your adding a dominant #1 defenseman to your future. Who is in his absolute prime. I don't disagree with the argument against it. It's reasonable and totally understandable. But I have to make the move if it is available. - MJL
Precisely. Spot-on again, MJL. |

And I understand your thinking as well.
I've never been opposed to making a bold move if it improves the team's chances for the Cup, either in the short or long run. Acquiring Weber would be a bold move (especially coming on the heels of the Pronger trade) that would definitely shore up the defensive side of the puck and give us a terrific physical presence on the back end for years to come.
But for the record, I was opposed to the Pronger deal to a lesser extent for what we gave up, but even more so because of the horrendous contract. A inexcusable blunder by the front office. - 77rams
I also see where your coming from, but Weber being 27 has a different impact then Prongers over 35 deal. And as for trading away youth and picks, I could unserstand more if this was a team made up of nothing but aging veterans, but we have done pretty well with keeping the neuclus young, so I think we can still afford trading away those picks. |

I think thats part of the problem...we dont have a true third line. - Philly1980
Couturier-Talbot-Simmonds has the makings of one IMO.
I want the former 2 in the top 9 next year regardless of who's traded or added. |

This mysterious source is intense. - jak521
Meltzer seemed to confirm my posts just yesterday.
Furthermore, know one believed me just last week when I said the Flyers were heavily after Weber and not Nash, and now that's all that is being discussed on here.
Keep laughing, bud. |

Feel a little bad for the 'Peg. Hopefully they get a deal done with Pavelec and Kane, otherwise they're set back another few years. - OrangeBlack27

Do you really need an inside source to know that? I could've told you that considering the circumstances following the team. |
