fuk the 3rd pick, subban can be replaced. tinordi will prob make the jump this year if needed anyway, gomez would free up the salary to help pay for parenteau and moulson, and weber we dont need him, its a good trade , but habs win the trade on that one i think, moulson i dont think would be easy for islanders to give up |

If I've learned one thing, you don't talk about Cups to a Wings fan, unless you're a Habs fan. - sjsharks92
I dont care how many Cups Detroit has, it is irrelevent to me. It isnt a race to see who has the most Cups. I was simply saying he is mad they won.
I must have offended him in some way by posting Parise to LA But here is the catch I have been saying that ever since Kovalchuck was sent to NJ. Weird guy to care so much.
Now that LA has won a Cup. I think I have every right as a fan to be able to say that a top FA might actually come to LA.

We'll take Subban if he's so easily replaced. |

I think its hilarious that Thomas is taking the year off and thus his cap hit comes of the books as well... does the year come off the contract as well or?? as he is not playing... - saskoil21
His cap hit stays on the books. |

I would not be surprised to see Nash, Luongo, and Bouwmeester all move before the draft. Suter and Parise could have their rights moved as well. |

I have no idea, especially since I have no idea of how he feels about his NTC - for instance, I've heard Columbus and Toronto pop up in rumors, but I don't know if he'd waive for either.
What I want is an interesting question. I don't necessarily see the point of trading him at all because even though he's grossly overpaid, those minutes are hard to replace and it's not like they're going to use the money for something better. (At least, I presume; last year they dumped Regehr to try and make a run at Richards which almost worked). It depends on the market for d-men I think - maybe they wait until Suter signs. Basically I don't know what I want, and I don't think it matters because I doubt it's close to what the trade ends up being. |

Is the issue Flames fans have with Bouwmeester that he's just not performing well in both ends? Or is that he isn't producing offensively the way you'd like? Because I agree with you. He plays more minutes than almost any other player in the league. |

The situation with Bouwmeester in Calgary reminds me a lot of McCabe in Toronto.... |

Just not enough offense for a $6.6M cap hit. It would be fine if he were about 2-3M cheaper. But like I say, just trading him for the sake of a salary dump isn't all that logical to me, especially if they're not rebuilding. |

Not the only comparison that's been made between the Flames and the JFJ-era Leafs.
Anyway I would hope the JBo trade ends up being more than what Toronto got for McCabe in the end. |

JaBo and Iggy will end up in Philly for JVR, Courturier, Briere.
Both teams get better. Calgary gets a new top line and future star much like they got Iggy when they gave up Niewendyk. It got the Stars a cup and would get Philly closer to getting theirs. Iggy's the perfect fit for that team and they have to give up a star in Courturier to get him.
It's a lot for Philly to give but if it brings a cup, they won't care. |
