stopped at 15 seconds for 2 reasons :

1 - Ooooo you guys are so controversial with Murray at #1!!!!!
2 - Brunet looking at the camera made me puke coffee and Kellogs's Just Right

I just find that for all the hype Subban gets, the results on the ice are very underwhelming.

I like him a lot, but his name is actually much bigger than his game imho.

He must be friend to Simon_Snake in Mathias Brunet's blog.

He once said Jeff Skinner would be good, so the Cap Breton Screaming Eagles hired him as a scout. Since then, he's a (frank)ing female genitalia "joe connaissant".
And everyone asks him counsel, esti.

The guy is alright and does scouting as a hobby on internet.

Mathias Brunet met him and plugged him with Screaming Eagles' GM.

I don't like his Richard attitude though.

Shorter term, obviously.

Oh, agreed.

I don't think Subban will ever put up the same points as Karlsson, but the POTENTIAL difference between them is not as great as is being said.

At what point would you accept to deal Subban?

Would you trade him straight up for Ryan?

Would you trade him (and the odd 2nd round pick) for Nash?

meh. He has been put in a difficult situation since Markov's demise. He has been playing first defensive pair minutes at 22 years old. It's fair to say he has done a good job so far...probably had to sacrifice some offense for it.

At the same stage he has more points than Karlsson had and is a more complete player. Karlsson is the best offensive d-man in the league last year, but he doesn't play in all situations. I'm not knocking him, I'm just saying some people are undervaluing PK. He was Mtl's best d-man last year and it wasn't close. Look at the group of guys Subban played with vs Karlsson.

Nash - in a heartbeat.

People can laugh all they want but I'd take PK. I think by the end of their careers he's the more complete player.

If he signs for more than 3 years, I fear it won't be under 5M.

3years 10M would have been my guess. 3 years 12M may be now.

are we talking genuine fear here of more just a little concern?

I think to me the bottom line is really that Karlsson took over the defense and established himself as the number 1.

Subban, we're still hearing about game systems that don't fit him. defense partners that can complement him. He just doesn't give off any impression to me that he will ever take over this defense. Probably will end up being a great no. 2 guy but I don't see this ever becoming PK SUbban's team.
