ok this is bs.

What the hell kind of consistency Galchenyuk have that Grigs doesnt? They've both played one season at the junior major level and both scored around 85 pts during those seasons.

You guys are simply biased because he's russian. At least be male enough to be frank about it.

It's widely known that Galchenyuk is a gym rat and that he put tremendous effort during his rehabilitation to try and comeback before the end of the season.

Easy there big guy.

Their origins have nothing to do with it. Grigs' stock plumetted for a reason since January. My preference if they decide to pick a centre would be Galchenyuk. He scored very well at the combine and his knee seems to be completely healed. Grigorenko seems to be ultra talented, but lacks drive and edge.

Based on what I have read, I would chose Galchenyuk. Your bone rises for Grigorenko. I respect that opinion even though I don't necessarily agree with it.

Yes, that reason's called mononucleosis.

BTW I actually dont give a damn about Grigorenko, i want the habs to pick Forsberg. However i do care about how people are buying into the bullpoop without any second thought.

so everyone associated with hockey other than you, P. Roy, and the kids agent are buying into BS meanwhile you know all?

I agree, an injury and mono could cause the drop off but there were always questions about his heart. do we need another kovalev/kostitsyn?

You've clearly stated that your opinion of Grigorenko is based off of what you've read....

Come on, that's what everyone of us in here is doing, reading scout reports. That's like saying a journalist sucks because he doesn't name his sources.

I did and have read numerous "scouting reports". Galchenyuk seems to be the type of player that the habs need.

You hope they draft Forsberg. Excellent. I assume this also based on reading scouting reports.

I expressed my opinion and you expressed yours.

Besties?

And anyway, Galchenyuk was at the Habs combine last week, so they saw what he can do on the ice.

Scouts do this every year... Feed the medias controlled leaks so they can devalue players to make em drop in rank giving their team a shot at picking him. Last year it was Couturier and Fowler the year before..

And teams have their own combines and evaluations. Pretty sure the media has little to no influence on teams that actually do their homework.

Time will tell if the Habs did theirs.

Oh totally. I'm just saying he IS taking in what the media outlets are feeding him, just like the rest of us. In truth Grigorenko might have a flawless work ethic. One thing's for certain. he will be a steal if he does slip out of the top 5.
