True.

I wouldn't throw 7M at players like Gaborik, Kessel or Semin.

I'd rather give it to a player that has more than one side to his game.

Like Gomez.

- Scabeh

Everybody figures differently on what constitutes an elite player. Some hinge it solely on goal scoring or offensive abilities. I like my best and highest paid players to be well suited to play in all area's. All three zones, PP and even PK if needed. A player who can excel beyond average in all aspects of the game is more "Elite" to me then a specialty player because they are harder to come by.

VERY interesting.

The conclusion?

- Randy Cunneyworth should never coach an NHL team again, considering how he used Ryan White.

- Yannick Weber doesn't have a place in this league, no argument about it.

- Tomas Kaberle is a 6th dman, pp specialist, at best

- Scott Gomez's use was ridiculous. He had A LOT of chances to prove himself.

- Nokelainen was horrible.

- Brad Staubitz too.

- Frédérik St-Denis was very surprising.

- Subban has been VERY solid last year. Biggest opposition (with Gorges) and outshot it.

- _nay_

Agreed about St-Denis. Give him a shot as the 7th dman instead of that plug Weber.

In an ideal world, yes. But this is not the case in reality.

Anyone watch Mckenzie's draft preview last night?

He asked NHL scouts for their list of the top 30 players in the upcoming draft and made a top 30 list based on those.

Forsberg is ranked 3rd.

Yes. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play regular minutes before the end of the season, with the injuries.

Not too shabby. Not much to be seen in the town of Antigonish but there is certainly some very nice country. Marshy Hope is pretty. You're about 35 minutes from Cape Breton. If you have some adventure in you do the Cabot trail. If you leave early enough it can be done in a day.....at least the west side of the Island anyway. Enjoy!
