25 year mtg after 10 years the balance is ~108600 payment is 830/mth
35 yr mtg after 10 years the balance is ~127000 payment is 700/mth
so yes in 25 years you have paid down an extra 20000 but you have an extra 15000 in your pocket from lower payments on the 35 year so it depends on what you want, present money or future money.
