I'd do the contrary. Pay as much as possible in order to maximize the return on the sale, and use that money to buy the next one.

Either way the majority of your payment in the first few years is just to cover interest, so the cash in hand now is worth it and for the difference in 10 or so years term you'll get back almost the same on the sale.

Un recruteur d'une equipe qui repeche entre 21e et 30e m'a dit qu'ils ne toucheraient pas a Grigorenko s'il descend jusqu a eux

If he's still there at that point habs should offer their two 2nd round picks.

Playing through it seems to have actually hurt his chances of going high in the draft.

then you'll have less to put down on the next house though
- DoubleDown

Depends when you plan on selling, the amount to pay down the principal is fairly equal the first few years but you pay more in interest on the shorter term.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just pay it off as quickly as possible so as to minimize the amount of interest paid?
- mcmanmat

Yes if you want to own the house, however if your plan is to sell after 5-10 then you're better off with a longer mortgage.
25 yr mortgage payment is a little higher but percentage-wise roughly the same amounts go to INT and principal.
After 10 years the payments on the house are fairly equal.

It depends, my rate is so low that even for a 35 year stretch only about half the money is interest.

I just locked up 3.4 for 10 years, I'm happy with that. Not sure how you got 1.9 tho.

I'm variable 5 years. Bigger risks.

But yeah I'd be happy for my next mortgage with 3.4 for 10 years since the rates are propably gonna go up in 2013 to prevent inflation.

My french sucks...is that basically saying a team in the bottom 3rd would not trade down unless Grigorenko is already gone?

a scout for a team ranked between 21 and 30 said they wouldn't touch Grigorenko if he was available to them at their position.
