New topic. Would anyone want JFJ back? Not as a GM, but as a scout?

looking back at the drafts from 05-07, JFJ made some good late round picks. He probably statistically drafted better players in the later rounds more often than any other GM during that time.

2005 7th round, Stralman
2006 2nd round, Kulemin, 4th round, Reimer and Holzer, 6th round, Stalberg and Komarov
2007 4th round Frattin, 6th round Didomenico, 7th round Gunnarsson.

JFJ was a terrible GM as the NEED TO WIN NOW attitude often lead to terrible trades like Rask for Raycroft, 1st and 2nd for Toskala, etc.

I don't believe he knew how to build a team, but he certainly knew how to draft in the later rounds when he had picks.

yessssssss, i was sad he got fired because i knew he had a good eye for talent.. to be honest, if it wasnt for the pressure to make the playoffs right away, i think we would have a very good team right now because JFJ wouldnt have felt forced to trade away his young players..

I'd love to have him back as a head scout, he's also the one who told SJ to move up to draft Couture.. and that was with our pick
