You think that Luka Magnotta is pissed?

He goes to all the trouble to be a crazy psycho, and the only thing people want to talk about is the guy who ate another guy's face.

I mean, what's a guy got to do to be known as a crazy psycho?

Stupid bath salts guy...

I could potentially see Komisarek and Edler being a good d pairing. He played great with Markov, but didn't have that top d man in Toronto to partner with.

Either Schenn or Komisarek would be a good fit with Edler as a replacement for Salo.

Great.

Luongo for Komi and a 4th rounder.

Glad we agree.

thats kind of how i see it.. for some reason some nucks fans seem to think he is the only viable goaltender available.. i stress some because most understand the position they are in

but for me to hear that they think they would receive two first round prospects for the past 5 years and a top 5 pick is just flat out laughable.. i almost feel bad for them

- Dozzer

Fans of teams will absolutely bash their players when they play bad.. but when it comes to trading them away.. everyone should be a Wayne Gretzky sized ransom back.

I had a guy say that Jordan Staal was worth atleast Tyler Myers AND both of our 1st round picks.

Burke: "Yes, yes, of course! GREAT pairing, Gillis! You're a genius, you know that? Now just quickly sign here and... no no, don't think about it. That's the last thing you want to do... go with your gut... another scotch maybe?"
- gravyface

haha, its kinda like Komisarek is an abusive boyfriend and were the ones trying to tell the girlfriend that maybe this time he wont beat her. Maybe over the summer hes gotten better...maybe they can have a beautiful family together and go for picnics. Yeeaa.....yeaaa.....just think, it could be beautiful!

Much too high class for me, guess I'll get Dozzer. He tastes best with Pabst Blue Ribbon and Milwaukee Ice.

Bernier statistically is no better than Reimer, and not all that different in age. I've posted the numbers too many times to count, typical of leaf fans to feel the grass is greener on the other side. I want no part of the next Garon or Biron thank you.

And the dark lord has been banned? WTF Juice, bring him back. He was nowhere near his usual condescending self this time around. Unless he was drunk when he was banned, if that was the case, keep it short.

One thing that many are not considering, is the possibility of a lockout next year. What if we lose another season? Do you want Luongo sitting out a year at his age and expect him to come back the way he left? By the time he comes back, he may be 35 years of age. Do we want 8 more years of uselessness? I don't make this trade, until the CBA is finalized. I would prefer that they don't make it all. He doesn't fit with the age group and I would prefer that our young goalies get their fair shot. If you think Reimer has gotten a fair shot, most of you are delusional. Having a head injury makes it very difficult to come back, that same season. He was very good, until Gionta's elbow. Scrivens played well, at times, when he was up, especially on the road. These young goalies deserve a shot, under the new coach. Forget wasting assets on an aging warhorse. Keep building with youth and if it doesn't work out, you get another top draft pick, a year from now.

yeah, thats too steep

staal is good.. and likely will be better than what he is now but there is still two knocks on him

1: the injury bug over the last couple years.. GMs should take long hard looks at that

2: he was given a chance to be the no. 1 guy when both crosby and malkin were hurt and he left alot to be desired.. now in fairness he was only 21-22 at the time

i think staal will receive the most back in any deal.. yes, more than nash.. i think staal is someone who you can install into your core group asap.

Read it on page 3 of the comments. Then again, I could be misinformed. I'm not one to dot my i's and cross my t's. In fact, I'm likely to get sued in the next few months for reporting lies and innuendo. Slander and defamation too.

Best of luck with that.

You can get into a Panthers game for free if you have a Florida driver's license.

No, I'm not making that up.

- Atomic Wedgie

I believe that...and, hey...I'm a Leaf fan...so if Burke is going after Lu then the less competition is better. I'm simply trying to take the blinders off and acknowledge that the Panthers/SJ/Blakhawks/etc might be interested as well.

We have no idea what each GM is up to so for anyone to flat out delete Florida as a possibility without a direct line in to Tallon or the Panthers accountants is ignorant.

Lu would be perfect for Markstrom.

Schneids doesn't need a mentor, that's the whole point to getting rid of Lu in the first place. He's ready for the grand stage.

- A_Tree

... ...

Pretty sure that a former Veniza trophy winner who actually has a reasonable contract would be more than adequate to mentor Markstrom. Let's also not forget that Clemmensen was only the back-up for argueably the greatest goalie of all time for a few years. I'm pretty sure that Clemmensen would also have a few pointers for Markstrom having watched Brodeur so closely for so long.

Florida doesn't need Luongo or his contract, especially when you consider that they have one of the best, if not the best prospect pool in the league.

Due to the Panthers' financial situation, until I see their GM talking about wanting to acquire Luongo, I'm just going to assume they aren't in the mix.
