DON'T EVEN SAY THAT

I'd much rather trade up with Columbus, take Nash and be done with it. At least we'd BE SURE to get either Yaks or Galchy.

McKinnon next year?

- Unholy_Forward

i read somewhere that Edmonton is talking about Reinhart at 1 they reakky like this kid, but will end up taking Yaks.. but Galch would be sweet

although i see us taking Forsberg for some reason

and MacKinnon is the only reason i wouldnt mind a lockout next year

I posted this question earlier and it was never addressed. Anyone know the answer?

"... Does Luongo's NTC travel with him once he's waived it? If not, theoretically if the Leafs could trade for Luongo while his value is at it's lowest, couldn't the Leafs trade him at the trade deadline etc. if they chose to?

Thanks.

- As_I_See_It

Great question, I would guess the NTC is still intact but I could be wrong. I found an explanation of NTC's on wikipedia but doesn't say anything about if a player waives it. I'm assuming it's on a per basis type of thing like he would have to waive it again on the next occasion

Does anybody know if Heatley had to waive his NTC to go to the Wild??

as per capgeek

KNOWN CLAUSES (note: if player has been traded, clauses may no longer apply): NTC (player can supply five-team trade list following final game of 2013-14, valid through July 15, 2014; if player does not submit trade list at that time, team can request a five-team trade list following final game of 2017-18 season, valid through Sept. 1, 2018). If player submitted a trade list in 2014 and was not moved, team loses right to request trade list in 2018.

Interesting........... I wonder if Heatley gave permission to go to Minnesota........ I'm going to go with no cause why would an offensive player want to go to Minnesota......

Forsberg? Really eh? I think we'll end up with either Galch, Faksa or Teravainen. If an amazing dman is available then we'll have to take him.

just a gut feeling, something tells me they think this guy will be the next Sundin

and Teravainen's stock rose quite significantly, but i dont think hes the player for us.. we have enough 4 foot tall forwards, we need Galch and i wouldnt mind Grigs at all, Grabo and Kuli could be a good role model for him and help him with his "work ethic issue"

Can I have Doughty on D and Malkin on the second line Oh and Price in net

Throw a 10 year 8 mill contract at price. Who gives a fack

- Sheppy99

Agreed, lets fukc up the Habs bigtime. An 80 million dollar contract for their MVP would just enhance the rivalry for a long time. It would alienate him, from the Habs, for signing it and if they matched, he would be in the sh!thouse forever. Sounds like pergatory.......let's do it!

Antropov and Ponikorvsky???

In all seriousness, I love grabo......... I would mistake that kid for a Canadian in a heart beat. And there are others as well out there.

Watching him get smushed into the glass by Chara and coming back and scoring a highlight reel goal was amazing.

Think about this...

If Luongo's NTC doesn't travel with him if he waives it and is traded, if Burke could buy low on Luongo now (i.e. Komisarek + a mid round pick + mid level prospect) why wouldn't he do it if he could improve the Leafs goalie situation now and possibly trade Luongo down the road (in the next year or two) for more than he originally traded away at the deadline (i.e. a 1st rounder + or solid prospect etc.) or off-season without the restrictions of a NTC?
