and home what do you mean too much $$$ wise? there arent any good #1 or #2 centers available via free agency? i certainly hope we dont go after some bum that had a career year in a contract year
- HAMgerber

No, there arent any good centers available in FA....I mean $$$$ as in we somehow trade for a legit #1 center who is making 6M plus already.

phew...nearly gave me a freakin heart attack my man

and thanks for the updates...keep em comin

also everyone whats the general consensus on what we should do with our picks? i personally feel as though we should package them to move way up in the draft, as opposed to targeting a roster player from another team. idk...just my opinion.

i like galy, faksa and....yakupov but all will be gone come #12. thoughts?

with homer's past from a few days ago about sekera and regehr being potentially out the door i'm starting to wonder what the heck might go on. i thought our defense is fine but if they want to tweak it, hopefully the forward ranks get upgraded properly too! our forwards imo are in much worse shape.

not to sound like a broken record but WOW US DARCY!!!

in the five mins since i last posted i started questioning galy and that knee

he put up great #s a year ago but that was when he was paired with yak

comes back this year and plays 8 games and was a -4 (reg season) and only had 4 total points in this 8 game window. nowwwww im starting to think its not worth the risk if were gonna trade up. we gotta be sure the guy we go after is a cant miss type...but then again once youre out of the top 3 it starts getting iffy

Bucky
2 out of 3 articles you wonder how he has a job

2 out of 9 articles, you feel like you just wasted part of your life because you learned nothing from what you read (red)

1 out of 9 articles, he hits the nail on the head and you wonder why he does not write like that more often

my 2 cents

If we get a center via trade I got a feeling its coming from San Jose. They are just loaded with centers and need a roster shake up.

I hope your wrong! I liked what I have seen "thats only highlights though". He is a big forward thats skilled and if he plays hard every game I could see him being a 60+ guy for us year in year out.

Any word on who they are looking to get/ship out?

- Smittyx36

I've only seen him play at last years World's and he seemed a bit to lazy for my liking. Hope he fixes that quickly.

I hope it's not Statsny from the Avs or Marleu from Sharks. Marleu is too soft and old now (32 soon to be 33).

I have had a feeling for awhile that there are going to be some ball busting moves by the Sabres this offseason facilitated by the thirst by our fan in chief, Peguala, who will have Darcy make some big moves. I'd love to see Vanek dealt if it pays off with the return we get. So sick of the Darcy le'core. It's like we have been beating our heads against the wall repeatedly for the last five years and expecting not to see stars and get concussed. Blow it up! Bye Vanek, and bubye Roy.

Vinny Lecavlier fits the bill perhaps?

There are rumors that TB want in on Lulongo, but would need to move Lecavlier to free up the $$$.

Too old, and terrible contract. Darcy should be fired if he ever made that deal just on the basis of taking on Vincent Lecavalier's contract. Plus with the trade for the goalie the other day, I think TB is out of the pursuit for Luongo.

Just saw that Lecavlier's runs through 2020...

I doubt anybody would want to take that kinda deal off their hands, he's gonna be a bolt for life.

Sounds like they (Buf) had no interest in Jeff Carter. I don't know how many #1 C's they'll have a realistic shot at trading for without giving up some major pieces.

I disagree with you and I know the Sabres do too. They aren't impressed with the top of this years draft, too many question marks, players to risky. They'll move them for roster player(s) or just pick.

Bobby Ryan + Steve Ott or Shane Doan would be pretty neat...

Move them for NHL ready players now, we have GM's this year by the balls with the picks we have. Let's see how good Darcy is.

im aware of their plans as you already said that like a week ago or something...i was just saying i hoped that they would move up as opposed to going after someone else.

im obsessed with yakupov bc hes gonna be a 90 pt guy thats why i was hoping they would trade with them

and everyone before you yell at me im aware that this would never happen in a million years. AND hes a small wing and not a center, i get it.
