Not sure if its the same guy but this was his initial post:

RevOlDarcyMD

***BREAKING NEWS: My sources say that the Sabres are close to a major trade! It's the same source that informed you of the Kassian trade ly!

Then the Grabner tweet:

‏@RevOlDarcyMD

@JohnDewey I can't say much. But I can say this. A more minor talk includes NYI and Michael Grabner.

- GilPerreault

Also, I'm a twitter idiot!

What does that RevOlDarcyMD mean? Grabner tweeted what?

Well I think Parise might be Darcy's plan B if the big trade for a center doestn happen by draft day, which IMO it doesnt. I just dont see Marleau or Stastny being an option. They need a big physical lineup, If there was a way to pry Getz or Staal without grossly over paying id be all in.
- sbroads24

IMO this talk of Staal is for nothing I think he stays with the Pens, as far as Getzlaf goes unless it's Myers going forget it.

I'm pretty skeptical of a dude who told Michael Phelps that he's going to "rape his dog"

however, I would welcome Grabner here. Fellow Austrian to Vanek if he isnt traded

I don't know if the deal is going down tonight or if he's legit. The only thing he claims is his "source" told him about the Kassian deal before it happened.
- GilPerreault

Not sure what I'd give up but give me him all day long with his speed. He'd be an upgrade in our top 9 wingers. Drop the midget Gerbe. And yes I also agree with gunnar, he's being under sold a bit. He is a top line winger on the island and is a top 6 forward on most teams. Love that he kills penalties and uses his speed to turn in some shorties. As a consolation for the Hoff not signing with them last year we'll help them out with an offensive dman in Sekera, 2012 2nd and 2013 3rd. May need to add a prospect.

Give em Sekera, Weber and one of the 2nds this year. Salary basically cancels out, Islanders can pick up a forward with their first rounder replacing Grabner, and boost their D in the process

You are underselling Grabner by a lot.
- Gunner Staal

I think Sekera for Grabner is a pretty even deal. Both have shown flashes of what they can do, but have failed to show it consistently. Seems like it might not be a bad idea for both teams. Shakes things up here a bit. Makes room for McNabb, since apparently management wants him in the top 6 this year. Gives the Isles something they desperately need. Works for me.

I think Gerbe might be a good fit with him though. Grabner's speed would help open things up a bit for Gerbe. It's not like he can't skate and keep up with him.

I think I'd be ok with dealing Myers for Getzlaf provided he signs an extension. With our wealth of dmen I can handle trading Myers. Plus if this draft has anything it's quality young dmen and we can restock with one or two dmen in the first to go with Pysyk, McNabb, JGL.

I think that's a bit high. I don't know that you need to send 2 roster players and a pick for a guy that was on waivers 2 years ago. He's got skill and he's shown what he can do, but he hasn't done it consistently enough to bring in that kind of a haul.

Agreed what he lacks in size he makes up for with speed and tenacity.

I see why some people are quick to say Gerbe needs to go, but until we get a guy in that's bigger and plays with the same heart that he does, I want him on my team. Otherwise all we have left is a bunch of pansies.

I was just thinking of giving Weber a fresh start somewhere else, you know? Sabres have enough depth on D where they really don't need him, and I've actually been a fan of Weber, even if he can't dump the puck out of his own zone

Maybe take the 2nd rounder out?

He is crass and pretty funny at times but he was serious with me when I asked him if he was jerking our chains or if what he posted was legit.

Anyway, who knows I wouldn't bet my house on either deal happening but I like to pass on what I see and hear. Actually, I would bet a lot that a big deal does go down and a top 6 forward becomes a Sabre on or before Friday.

...pretty terrible mistake by Florida, they never gave him a chance before throwing him on waivers. Their loss, islanders gain. Waivers doesn't always mean someone has no value. Pommer was once there too

We could use more forwards with speed. Right now we only have Ennis and Stafford. Everyone else is average to below average speed and it kills our forecheck when the opponents d have that extra second to think before making a play.

he'll probably have a good year. He seems to be pretty good every other year. Plus, he at least is willing to mix it up with guys a bit and we don't have many of those.
