Garth covered that. He said Armia doesn't play Center, er, Centre...yet. So there you have it. |

Bust? Your insiders tell you this? Because if they did I wouldn't trust there opinion seeing as they work for buffalo.... - Smittyx36
nope, just my opinion really. I know he is very skilled, but I also know he only plays when he feels like it, which isnt all that often. I hope I'm wrong. |

I'd like to see Roy Adam sekera our first and a third for duschene know it won't happen but good value for both teams. Seleras stock won't be higher then it is now Roy could fill in point wise for duschene Colorado gets to pick one slot lower then the would have drafted if they had thier own first and the get a solid center prospect in Adam sabres get their center man |

Check out Aaron misick's blog, he talks about Stastny to buffalo.
I wouldn't mind bringing in Stastny. He would help out the sabres scoring ability and is also a good defensive player as well (which is lindy's guy) |

Bucky Gleason's column in Buff News:
GM FOR A DAY: Time is up on Ruff era
http://www.buffalonews.co...gleason/article907716.ece
he fails to mention how is going to buy the Sabres on a reporters salary - billyk
The Sabres have the 12th and 21st pick, not the 26th. And Ryan Malone has never won a Cup.
Bucky is sounding like GARTH with this lack of proper research.
Edit: he changed his mistakes online, but not in the print edition |

I hope your wrong! I liked what I have seen "thats only highlights though". He is a big forward thats skilled and if he plays hard every game I could see him being a 60+ guy for us year in year out.
Any word on who they are looking to get/ship out? |

Buffalo News hockey columnist Bucky Gleason has been a longtime supporter of Sabres coach Lindy Ruff, but he writes today that the time has come for the Buffalo organization to replace him.
"People who accused me of being a shameless Ruff apologist were probably more accurate than I would rather admit. There's always a line between us, but we've had a good relationship away from hockey. He's also one of the best coaches in the NHL, in my book." Gleason writes in his Sunday column. "My opinion of him hasn't changed. What has changed is my view of whether Ruff should coach this team. The thought of publicly calling for him to be fired, knowing today was coming, made me uncomfortable for the past two months. But after much consideration and conversation, my stance hasn't wavered. The day has come. Lindy, it's time for a change."
Bucky made it to roto world, he's world wide now. |

Remember that awkward moment when Ray was interview Malone and Ray said he had won a cup and then Malone was like I was traded that year! ha! I always feel for players that get traded from a winning team to a bad team at trade deadline "Cody Hodgson". - Smittyx36
I don't think Malone was moved at the deadline that year
Edit : On June 28, 2008, the Tampa Bay Lightning acquired exclusive negotiation rights with Malone and Gary Roberts from the Penguins for a third-round draft pick in 2009. One day later, the Lightning signed Malone to a seven-year contract worth $31.5 million, which paid him $6 million for the first season. Roberts then signed a one-year deal the next day |

He also fails to mention the option of trading vanek. Although, i dont know what club would want to pick up the remainder of his contract. |

Just talked to my source...said will be an interesting next two weeks for Sabre fans. Said the team will look different just not sure how different. Darcy has a lot of things on the table but its a domino kinda deal, if one things gets done then it will open the door to other things and so on.
They won't be going after Suter, but Parise is possible. Priority 1 is a center so if that happens and costs to much $$$$ wise then Parise will be harder to go after but if they have the cap space they will go after him. |

Just got a feeling that Armia may be the promising prospect used in a trade. Hope not, but likely if a team like the Penguins want cap relief to go with their trade of Staal. |

and home what do you mean too much $$$ wise? there arent any good #1 or #2 centers available via free agency? i certainly hope we dont go after some bum that had a career year in a contract year |
