The only I thing I heard that came out of the exit interview is they asked Leino if he could play with any two players who would it be.

His answer was suprising......he said Gerbe and Kaleta because they work hard and thats the kinda guys he likes to play. Shocking.

well I completely agree that no body will want Leino.. and Vanek's contract negates him from this deal.

I would prefer him to be playing next to the bathroom and the mini fridge in press box of another team.. but hey.. thats just me.

Too much. Staal is not a superstar. I would do Pysyk or Mcnabb, Stafford, and the 21st. Even that is alot. Staal is a very good but not elite player.
Pens get a strong Neal like player to play with Crosby, a potential top 4 d-man, and a 1st.

Pens aren't in need of prospect defenseman. They already have their own they will want to try first.

i'm not surprised by that at all from watching last season. those were the players he played with towards the end that he thrived with. that being said, and i really like gerbe, but i'd really like upgrades of those two players playing with him. i haven't given up on leino and i think gerbe can still ball but kaleta is just an @sspain to me and it doesn't seem like he's out the door any time soon.

how desperate are the avs going to be to get into the first round? in my opinion stastny will be wearing a new jersey on friday evening.

Hope not a Sabres jersey. According to most people this is a bad draft class, I dont see why they woud be desperate to get into the forst round, there probably more desperate to unload Statsny's awful contract

Hjalmarsson + Sharp= 9.5? That might be an even trade

I wish Homer, Kevin, or another blogger would write a post about "The ten trades most likely to occur involving the Buffalo Sabres on draft day" and come up with 10 realistic trade scenarios for Friday.

Although all of the trades probably wouldn't happen, it would give us something to sink our teeth in until the draft.

Sharp has always had better stats then Staal.. and Hjalmarsson could be a top 4 guy in a year or two.

If you ask me... Pitt is getting a huge upgrade in that deal.
