Such is the nature of fan proposed deals. There is a point however that they don't have to trade him this year, so any deal would have to convince them to do so.

I think that proves that Roy is more than capable of "holding a candle" to Stastny.

Stastny is lazy defensively which means he'll end up in Ruff's dog house quicker than you can say "dumb idea." Roy plays pretty big minutes on the PK. Stastny averaged :37 per game. I'll pass. The extra 2.6 mil is not worth it.

Clowe/Pavelski aren't getting traded unless it is Nash coming back.

Parise is more possible if he knows he has a legit #1 center next to him
Vanek, Adam, Brennan, and all of our picks are still available to trade as well.
Leino can get the Amnesty Clause if approved.

He's bigger than he plays. In the post season, he alternates between disengaged and taking stupid penalties.

I watch a fair amount of Sharks hockey over here.

He's also on the downswing of his career, and really really likes it in San Jose, as in I could see him pouting about a trade likes it there.

if you want to change the "culture" of this team you need to fire Regier and Ruff
