I was just kind of being sarcastic.. i am so anxious for this week's fireworks to begin its not even funny... as soon as one big horn is blown for a trade the dominoes will fall...

Lets look at Roy in the last 3 years..

09-10 he had a 69 point season.. very good year.. we made the playoffs but got bounced by Boston.. 43 helpers

10-11 - Roy was having a great year at a ppg pace but the team's win/loss record was pitiful and everyone thought "roy was a puck hog and holding everyone else down" 34 points in 34 games. 25 helpers

11-12 - Roy was very very hot/cold.. he finished with 44 pts in 80 games which is barely better than .50 ppg. 23 helpers

Stasnty's last 3 years...

09-10 79 point season in 81 games. Very solid play with 59 helpers.

10-11 mustered up 57 points in 74 games.. had an injury apparently.. 35 helpers

11-12 got 53 points in 79 games.. little bit of a down of a year but still more points than Roy in 1 less games.

Overall IMO..

Roy's best years were served as a 2nd/3rd liner when going against a defenses weaker pairings.. once he lost that cushion and was forced to play his small body against a top defender pairing he has gone down hill.

Stasnty has been a 1C for many many years since Sakic and Forsberg have left Colordo. He has continued to put up very decent points even through the last couple of year when Colorado was in the bottom 5 in the NHL.

Stastny is a GREAT Faceoff guy which we do not have currently and is a better well-rounded player than Roy.. not a "great" defensive player but better than Roy none the less. Stasnty's last 3.. 55, 53, and 50% in 09 versus Roy's 50, 46, and 50% in 09 in the dot..

Stastny is also 6'0 205 instead of Roy's 5'9 184

Stastny makes 6.6M for 2 more years.. and Roy makes 4M for 1 more year.

Stastny is 26... Roy is 29

I just like Stastny more.. I think it is smarter...
