I see Couts being Bergeron-esque, which is awesome for you guys.
Kane is going to be a scoring, physical force. - clarkysduster
I can agree with this.
Im just really excited for the future of this team. Itd be fricken awesome if we could get Koekke at 20, and trade JVR for a good young dman. |

How about a JVR for Bogo swap? then Win trades Kane for a good package, JVR replaces Kane then. |

A deal that might work for both teams is Staal for Kane. Staal would be the big guy in the middle playing close to home. Kane plaing with Crosby or Malkin cold be frightening the way the kid goes to the net.
Still have to believe that Winnipeg is going to figure out a way to get this fixed.
As far as any rumors regarding moving Kane to Montreal, makes little sense.
Montreal would be gutted trying to make this deal and it is hard to imagine how they could sell it to their fans. The only player Montreal could offer up in a one for one deal for Kane is Price. I just don't see that happening.
Winnipeg would have no interest in JVR, they might warm up to a proposal that included Couturier. Don't see that happening either. |

They could get the deal done without Price included, but about this you are correct, the habs would be gutted trying to acquire him, so yeah, it isn't worth it... |

Said I don't see it happening. But Couturier/Kane is far closer to reality than JVR/Kane. Just don't see the flyers being able to make an offer that works for them and would be okay with Winnipeg.
Kane might be the top winger for Team Canada at Sochi. |

Kane isn't going anywhere.. even if he got an offer sheet the Jets would match. They have the cash! Big scoop on the Finn... not.. he's been rated as a top prospect for some time.. what a worthless blog.. get a real job. |

If he doesn't want to sign an extension with the jets then he will be gone like I said they can net a great return like
L.Schenn + #5 for him and they get a good young D-man and 2 top 10 picks in the draft |

Kings fans are smart to want to avoid Parise. If I were you guys, I'd want this exact same team back next year. That group winning this year, was no fluke. This team is meant to win now, and in the future.
I think dumping Penner and Fraser is fine. But hanging on to Stoll, and obviously locking up Quick long term should be top priority. Then, when Quick is under contract for more than just next year, you can ship off Bernier for whatever needs the team might have... which from the looks of it, aren't many. |

Who said the goalie is unhappy?
One thing you have to remember that this team (collection of players) went from a market where they could exist as relative strangers to one where there is almost no anonymity. Not to mention the sheer size difference. This simple yet important fact has meant there are different standards in conduct and interactivity some have had harder times adjust than others.
True North is a tight nit group with nothing but the highest levels of expectation and operation, from the owners down. They have a lot of things to change and habits to break- it will take time.
It would be no different if the Thrashers had moved to any other Canadian market. - Peter.Tessier
How much are they paying you?
Or...could this be what was whispered not so quietly as being a concern about the Winnipeg market....that people, despite its rabid hockeyness might not want to play there. I've never been to the 'Peg...it might be a fine place but I've heard...rumors.
So potentially, young star in the making players ie Evander Kane who're still probably in it to some degree for the Nookie and the limelight might not want to play/stay there?
Just because people actually recognize you for being a hockey player and might hold you accountable....that might not be the exact sort of limelight they had in mind. |

Not entirely accurate. Montreal would have a shot if they offered Subban and "the" pick (3rd overall). Subban is a nice asset but he would only rank 3rd or 4th on the Winnipeg depth chart. |

Exactly, Subban sucks, he wouldn't crack the top 6 with our Leafs. Winnipeg has no use for a pylon like Subban, they are trying to build a contender, not a team filled with a bunch of whinny loser like Subban. |

With Bogo, Byfuglien and Enstrom on the back end why would they trade him for a Dman? The Jets need goals, if Kane refuses to sign the trade will be for a forward |
