No thanks, don't want RNH and we are overpaying. If it was Luo and Ballard maybe, but I would rather try and keep first rounder and take samuellson before EDM can.

It's Ok, there is no way RNH is leaving Edm. any time soon.

Winnipeg has Pavelec, they don't need Schneider. If they needed a goalie that would be a decent trade, maybe a 2013 2nd as well or a prospect from Van.

Do they have Pavelec though?

Please tell me your source isn't this Samjam kid. And Burke would get run out of TO if he made that trade. I'm not doubting your "source" but that's quite a lot for Luongo.

If it's Toronto I'm expecting something like a 2nd, decent prospect and one of Komisarek/Connolly/MacArther/Armstrong.

And I get accused of bad trade offers.

Right out of Gillis's mouth."I am not going to take back a bad player"

If a proprer trade is not offered he will go up to Lu and tell him "No one wants you except Columbus ,You are under contract ,You are staying . We got a better offer for Schneider. Lu stays for three more years.

Pavelec is rumored to be heading to the KHL.

If Tessier is correct that would be a good partner to swap with .
Kane+ for Schneider and Booth would make sense. For all those screaming stop trading Booth.I would prefer Kane as our 2nd line LHF .

With Lindback being dealt yesterday, does that increase or decrease the Value of Luongo? I’m thinking Gillis has a price for Lu and he won’t budge off of it. I believe he wants a player that can help Vancouver now and a pick or prospect. If he doesn’t get that, I’m guessing we will see Luongo back in Vancouver.

Decreases it obviously. U can open your eyes and face reality anytime. Its not as bad as u might think.

And for this reason ull prob see lu back.

Trade schneider. You'll actually get close to what u want

I don't think it decreases his value. I think the Clowns expecting Lu to be wearing the blue and white Maple Leaf next year and expect us to get Komi in return are going to be standing there draft day holding their Johnsons.

I think Gillis has a price in mind ,and a time frame put in place. If the proper trade comes along we will see Lu shipped out,if not Gillis turns to plan 1A and trades CS. I think it will happen befor FA on July 1 to give his trade partner time to sign Schneider.

I think TO will be like the kid standing in a game of musical chairs, going to plan F to find a goalie for opening day.

How the f*ck does it decrease it. That was a lot to give up for an unproven abd flawed goalie. Luongo can single handedly take a team to the playoffs and make owners a lot more money and save a gms job. He has better numbers than the "greatest" goalies of all time. Your delusional if you think he doesn't have any value he's been arguably the best player this organization has seen since bure. He's part of the reason the Canucks are such a good team. Schneider is just younger, cheaper and IMO going to be one of the best goalies in the league for the next 10 years. Luongo is still an incredible player. Goaltending is an extremely important position and he's still one of the best in the game abd has done it more constantly than any other goalie.

It decreases it because their were a very small number of suitors to begin with. Now theres 1 less.

Of course lindbacks not in luongos class at this point.
It just goes to show teams are going to be looking/sticking with a cheaper, younger option, regardless of luongos resume.

Unless of course u take an ugly contract back...

I really don't think Tampa even had interest. Yzerman is trying to find a goalie to grow with it's young core. They had an opportunity to win now but they don't want to take the chance on giving up young assets at this point. He wants to build patiently. At this point I see Toronto, Florida, Columbus, New Jersey, Washington, NYI, and San Jose having interest. Whoever really wants him will pay market value for him. No ugly contract comes back because lounges contract isn't ugly. It maybe is to complete morons but 5.3 is a great cap hit for him and he only has 6 years tops left. Rumors are out there that he only plans on playing 4 more.

Rumors are just that...

Your entire argument is based on conjecture.
He doesnt have '6 years tops' left. Hes got 10 years tops.

A gm cannot bank on lu retiring when dealing for him. You'd have to be completely prepared to pay him for ten years. Only a 'moron' ( as u like to say) would believe hes gonna leave a few mil on the table for sure.

5.3 is fine. But for Ten years is brutal.

Not only that, but u cant negotiate either... Its cap circumvention.

Its not even debateable at this point what the issue is. His term.

If it was 5.3 for 3-4 years. He'd be gone already. And for a ton.
This isnt gonna be the case.
