That would be the steal of the draft, if they could snag him at #11.

He's the 2nd best Dman behind Murray IMO.

If he fell to 11 the Caps are laughing

I think he's the best. Just a feeling he could fall a tad because of the "What have you done for me lately" might come into effect

Brian,

Ive got a question for you. If Sgarbossa had not been signed by SJ where would you put him in this draft? There are a few players in this years draft that look to have been born even earlier in 1992 than he was. (July, 25th)

Do you know anything about him really? All we know as Avs fans is that there are a lot of whispers that he is legit. Comments saying that he was buried on a good team for a while. His numbers rank up there with guys like Ryan and Erik Staal..

There is just JACK as far as a real scouting report.. Most of us have no idea really how excited we should be.

Sgarbossa is a boom or bust guy. My opinion on him is that he's a guy who should fit into a Top Six as a 25-25 guy, with a lot of pest-like qualities to his game. He's a guy who creates a lot of inzone offense and has a very quality offensive game to him, but struggles with consistency, going through stretches where he's invisible.

My only concern for him translating his game is getting stronger. He feeds off physical play at times and to continue that, he'll need to bulk up.

He sounds like Downie with more offensive ability but a little less of the agitator attitude.

Appreciate the assessment Brian, thanks

What will make him fall is the fact that he's not as offensive as 'say Rielly or Dumba.

He's one of the safest pick in this draft.

There was one guy from the ISS that really liked Trouba, had him as best d-man of the draft.
