well kinda hard for the state to be a champion city
but if you wanna talk about championships then we still have 2 more than you guys so while you guys won it this year, its not exactly hard to see that nj is a championship state by those means
and who cares about the NBA other then laker fans? - dmarsden2988
Dont care as long as I was alive to see 1 Kings championship I am good.
More would be a privlage to see.
Want to know what makes it more memorable.....LA beat Brodeur
One of the greatest things I will ever remember. Thanks NJ for that memory. LA beating NJ and a HOF Goalie for a 1st championship will always be the best one for LA.

LOL. Jersey isnt exactly a nice place to be. But you both are getting a little bit ridiculous. - poisondhearts37
The difference is that one side is being purposely ridiculous and the other thinks he's a badass.
Also, Jersey is awesome. Just wish less New York and Philly bumholes would stay away from our beaches. |

No, the state of New York does not own the team. It is a privately owned team. It's not like the Packers. |

One of my greatest hockey moments, or three, was the three cups the Devils won in the span of 15 years. But I guess that isn't as good as bandwagoning the Kings one year. - Pomegrant
LOL

I'm surprised his value is that high. Is he ready to be a legit starting goalie ? I don't think so |

Of course he has to say that. Not that there isnt alot of interest. But him saying that weather true or not brings up the value of Lou. |

There were many that jumped on the bandwagon but to say that all the people in LA jumped on the bandwagon is just ludicrous. I got my seaon tickets for the first time in 91 and kept them until I moved out of the area in 2009. The Kings sell out most games and have for years. The town for the most part are a Laker and Dodger town but there is a very loyal following for the kings. And considering that there are 17.6 mil people in the LA market if only 10% are true fans that is a good base. And I suspect the number is somewhat higher than that.
I can still remember what turned me into a hockey fan back in 82 with the miracle on manchester. It turned me from one of the many in LA that watched some hockey to someone that wanted to watch mostly hockey. Since nobody else in my house liked hockey at all I had to wait three more years until I could go to my first game since I could drive myself by then. And going from watching on TV to seeing it live I was truely hooked. |

I remember when I was about 10 years old (the year befor Staples at the Forum) recieving a stick signed from Robitaille by Tim Leiweke and sitting next to Rogie Vachon at a special dinner with him with my family. I have the stick hanging right now and a special reservation card for the tabel with Vachon's signature.
Im a 1 year fan though LOL |

This guy is a career backup at best. I'm sorry, but Steve Yzerman is terrible. Lindback has a chronic disease that leaves him extremely fatigued, how do you expect this guy to be your starter when he probably can't even last 25 games. He has done nothing good for the Bolts since he took over, he inherited a team of superstars, yet he was given all the credit in the world just because of his name. They will be dealing with the same situation they had last year, great offense, but absolutely no goaltending. Great plan, I'd be pissed if I was a bolts fan. - ThePresident
Wow how far behind are you? That would be Dan Ellis. He was traded a couple of years ago. The fact Tampa got one of the more sought after goalies that was on the market and didn't have to give up but 3 late round picks and a career AHL goalie is pretty damn good. If Burke had half a brain and didn't always go for the big name then you guys might be sniffing the playoffs. FYI I actually like the leafs but I have to put them in the same category as Elvis and Jesus---Their fans suck |
