This guy is a career backup at best. I'm sorry, but Steve Yzerman is terrible. Lindback has a chronic disease that leaves him extremely fatigued, how do you expect this guy to be your starter when he probably can't even last 25 games. He has done nothing good for the Bolts since he took over, he inherited a team of superstars, yet he was given all the credit in the world just because of his name. They will be dealing with the same situation they had last year, great offense, but absolutely no goaltending. Great plan, I'd be pissed if I was a bolts fan.

There are two different markets at play here. We have the more-established high-cost goalie market (which you could include Luongo, Bryzgalov etc.) and you have the less-established lower cost-goalie market (Lindback, Harding, Bernier, etc.). What we have here is one taken off the supply side of the latter market, but also one piece taken of the demand side for the first market. It seems like teams are looking for goaltending, but the cost issue (both in contract and acquisition) factor into which market the teams will persue. Not all teams who had interest in Lindback had an interest in Luongo, but most teams who had some interest in Luongo had some interest in Lindback as well.

I dont think that plays an effect at all. I think its more or less the Kings have never won a championship. I think after winning it now gives us a shot at singing people. Im not gonna sit here and say that we are gonna get Parise or Suter for that matter. Im just saying that if you look at who we lost out on. They went to teams that have won championships.

If anything the beach's, nice weather and etc would entice people to come here. But for a team who had never been able to finish the job is what i think deterred the players away.

but why did it take a scoreboard to get them started in the finals? if they do it for years then why was it started as soon as it was shown on the board rather then just chanting his name by yourself?
