I don't care if he signs for 10 years. I'll take my chances with Despres and Morrow.
Talk about crippling the only organizational depth the Pens have. Not only would they lose Staal which hurts center depth but all the young d depth is shot in one swoop too. Really bad scenario for the Pens. |

I believe the trade was for Weber not Suter, as Nashville can actually control Weber's rights beyond July 1st...
Even still, unless Pens won 3 cups because of getting Weber that is too much investment and risk in one player who is not guaranteed to get you over the top. Plus Weber has never been to the dance. |

Yep I sure did. I mis calculated the route and 2 hour and twenty minutes later I ventured 7.5 miles.
I have come to the conclusion I need better shoes, my feet hurt but my body was fine. - Gunner Staal
Shoes come in three flavors, just like feet. Hard and very supportive are called motion control. Examples are Brooks Beast and Asics Evolution and Foundation. Medium are structured cushioning and Asics Gel Kayano is an example. Last is soft shoes and these are called cushioned support. Examples are Asics Nimbus and Cumulus.
I am an Asics fan but I also like New Balance. If you have high areches you have hard feet and need soft shoes. If you have flat feet they are soft and need motion control shoes. Try it this classification works well. |

Spector is saying islanders are looking at Martin and z - nh4442
Not quite, Spector linked an article in which the islander writer from Newsweek suggests those two as potential options.
NEWSDAY: Arthur Staple reports Islanders GM Garth Snow isn’t expected to trade his first round pick (4th overall), but he is apparently trying hard to land a defenseman for his thin blueline, as only Mark Streit, Travis Harmonic and Andrew MacDonald will be returning next season. A restricted free agent like Montreal’s P.K. Subban might’ve convinced Snow to part with his pick, but sources say the Canadiens won’t part with Subban. Trade possibilities are what Staple considers “veterans playing mediocre hockey on fairly unworkable contracts” including Calgary’s Jay Bouwmeester, Pittsburgh’s Zbynyk Michalek and Paul Martin, and Vancouver’s Keith Ballard. |

Anyone read the Molinari piece on Shero's draft history in the PG over the weekend?
http://www.post-gazette.c...uture-draft-picks-640727/
Shero has drafted 35 players, and only one (Jordan Staal) has become an NHL regular. Without Staal, you have 9 players for a total of 156 NHL games.
A couple (Esposito & Caputi) have been flipped in trades, but it's not like those guys are NHL players. Shero has gotten great return on some young defensemen in trades, but Goligoski and Whitney were drafted by Craig Patrick.
Obviously most of them are still young, and if a few of them turn out to be the players that we think they can (Despres, Morrow, Kunhackl, Bennett, etc)., Shero's draft legacy will be overwhelmingly positive, but as of right now, it's a little suspect.
