JvR getting "alternative treatment" for his hip injury? What's that mean? Crystals? Herbs? Acupuncture?
- Dkos

Spit and glue.

What are the odds that JVR injures the hip again this year, and people go apepoop that he didn't have the surgery? I'm guessing .000034 %

Cryptically, Homer is saying JVR is healthy and in good condition, make us an offer.

Sarcasm MJL!!! Now PLind may be a different story.

Total sarcasm obviously. No difference between wearing a harness, as opposed to not wearing one and risking your life.

That's true. I don't think he was gutless just that ABC wanted him to be safe. Don't want someone dying on live TV if something went wrong.

Then as a true "daredevil" or whatever they call themselves he should have refused to do it. My problem is more is with ABC than with Wallenda, he was willing to do it without the harness, ABC billing it as some terrifying, death defying stunt is just asinine.

Did he ever need the harness? No. So what difference did it make in the end? Just to the guys in the audience who were watching hoping to see someone die. Watch Formula 1.

He wanted to do the stunt and the only way he could afford it was ABC's money. The only way they gave the money was if he wore the harness. No one forced you or anyone else to watch it.

One of the best blobs I've read recently (and Meltzer always brings solid work).

"When it comes to some hockey fans assessing defensemen, the paint often seems bluer on the other side of center ice. There isn't as much emotional investment in other teams' games and, as a result, there is less of tendency to hyperfocus on a defenseman's every flaw."

So great!

Thx
