The player has a resposibility to the team as well. He has to realize he is past the point of no return, and stop being a team anchor.. - bixll
I'm sure insurance does not want to pay him out but a goalie who cannot get up from a save and cannot stay healthy for more than 5 games needs to be retired. |

Good morning fellow Wolfpack member. I want to say I am in a better mood after my rant of DP yesterday. I am back to normal.
DEFENSE this draft and for free agents that is all I want. WE get a couple of defense men in there we will be a ok, oh and a winger for TAvares, and a few vets, and steady goaltending, and a real coach. Oh forget it!! - kasperrko
I would print all your rants and leave them at the Dunkin' Donuts for Charles to see |

Even if Murray is not a big dman he still may be too good to pass up. Isles no question need to get bigger on D. - ses111
There's a wide disparity on this drafts' Dmen.
Some rank Murray the highest. Others have Dumba slated to be chosen as first Dman. But I've also seen Cody Ceci and Reinhart ahead of Murray & Dumba, both.

It's enough to drive a scout and GM crazy. I'm just glad I'm watching and not making the pick. |

whats interesting is that mini camp ends before free agency begins. i would say the total opposite of what dee is saying....she thinks its a way to attract free agents; i think its a way for garth to know what he needs and fill the holes.... - LetsGoIsles
Yeah, Dee's head is focused on what kind of cupcakes to make next Friday or god knows what.
It makes sense to REALLY see firsthand(screw the scouts) how certain players are developing and who is expendable or who's worth is up or down. Seems Garth is ready to trade away a few assets to make an impact move/trade now.
Jesus Cartwheeling Christ, it's about friggin time. |

That's because Murray isn't elite talent. He is the safest pick, you know what you're going to get with him, which is a very good and steady defenseman. Guys like Dumba and Rielly have special skill-sets and bigger upsides but are much bigger risks to bust or not reach their potential. IF we pick defense, Murray is what we need. Another Hamonic, not in terms of style of play, but meaning a strong, calm presence on the blueline that can play in all 3 zones, in every situation. Rielly may end up being an offensive dynamo, but at this point in time he isn't what this team needs.
I still say you draft skill over need, so if Grig/Gally are on the board when we pick, it's a no brainer.
Also I said about a month or so ago that I think Ceci will be one of the biggest sleepers in this draft. Like John Carlson was. Pure speculation, but that's just the feeling I get. |

We usually get the "safe & obvious" pick. We all know it's not exactly a braintrust working on our behalf. |

If anything I'd say the last two drafts we didn't make the "safe & obvious" pick. Last year we passed on Couturier and Hamilton to take Strome. The previous year Nino wasn't the consensus pick, we passed on Connolly and Skinner. I'm not upset in the slightest with either pick, I just don't think we always get the obvious, safe pick. |

A lot of people think Ceci is the big sleeper. Maybe we trade down then and draft him? Maybe get an extra pick out of the deal?? |
