Look for the Boston Bruins to trade not-playing Tim Thomas to a low-spending team such as Colorado or the New York Islanders, The Toronto Sun's Steve Simmons suggests.
Simmons writes: "The $5 million of Thomas sitting put would count against the salary cap, but the team wouldn’t have to pay the sitting-out Thomas. So for teams that need help getting to the floor of the new salary cap, it’s an inexpensive, no-risk piece of bookkeeping."

Wang is a genious! This is why I want him for president. He always finds ways to save money. Wang is the answer to our economic crisis.

In order I want

Nail, Murray, tuevo, gally

But the isles brought grigs, Murray and dumba in so far, correct me of they've brought more

Staple said there were four more visits scheduled, but didn't mention specific names. Purely guessing but I would imagine Galchenyuk, Forsberg and maybe Reinhart and Rielly. Maybe swap one of the last two out for Teravainen.

And since we're listing here...Nail (obviously), Grigorenko, Galchenyuk, Murray.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Its almost like there is a #1 pick and the next 8 or so are 2, 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d...etc etc .... until the drop off.

Happy Fathers day to all! According to Ek the Pens want in on Schultz. The Isles need to be all in on Schultz. They need D and he will not cost a prospect. Even if he turns them down I hope the Isles make a real offer.

Yeah, there will be trade offers ahead of them at picks #1-4, which could definitely stir things up. Doubtful Nail WONT go 1st no matter who has #1 on draft day but it seems almost a no brainer that we get a real solid forward or Dman. Personally, I am hoping for Murray(if avail) over best forward available, Nail being the exception.

Wouldn't be surprised if scenario ends up Garth packaging some prospects and trading down if Murray is off the board. Doubtful he trades away #5 (+assets) for an active player, unless named Weber or Suter. I could live with that for sure.

Can you believe there is blog going on about whether to trade Matt Duechene!

Some are even saying that a trade to the Leafs for the 5th overall and Luke Schenn should get it done!!!

Hypothetically! Would you trade our 4th and Casey Cizikas for Matt Duechene?

I guess this is why Wang is a good business man.

Wang is an absolute jackass and anyone who compliments him spending money on a player who doesn't play follows suit. Spend it on a player who is playing if you have to spend it.

Gotta side with X on this one. Can't mess with the chosen form of the Destructor...unless he steps on a church in Bill Murray's town.
