I did say last summer that he's not the guy he was in 03/04-07/08. Having said that he's exactly what I thought he'd be. Tough, stay at home guy, leader, that doesn't show up on the stat sheet, won't wow you, on the down side of his career, and come playoff time will be a warrior. Nothing more, nothing less.

LOVE Clowe and Morrow.

The Regher/Rivet comparison is accurate based on age and stats but while Regher is no fleet footed roadrunner he is still a quality defender. Great at playing angles, something that Rivet failed to do once his legs got lost. That said, I don't see him having more than a couple more 'serviceable' years in him.

I would say he'd have no excuses without Bogosian. You would have to trade Myers for Weber before July 1, and give Suter a reason to want to sign here. Also, be ready for another chemistry disaster in the beginning of next season. Not saying it isn't worth it, just that it's going to happen.

That's not accurate. The Olympics were played in Vancouver. On Vancouver's NHL sized rink. So he can do it. On the same ice that the NHL uses.
