I, personally, would be excited to see:

Whitmore - Adam - Armia
Voakes - Varone - Tropp
Stuart - ?? - Turnbull

I'm not 100% sure I have the positions correct but that looks pretty nice to me.

- JVince117

who is Voakes?

Sundher and Cat should be the other two centers.

If Stewart was on a line w vanek n Hodgson pretty sure they'd be in our top6
And whether you considered that the 3rd line or not,
He's a "top6" talent which is what I was saying we need, as opposed to bringing in say Ott or Goose back
See my point now?

- jdfitz77

Id rather go after morrow and/or doan over another underachieving suck sister in Stewart.

Yes and yes..

He would be able to skip his years of service to come play here.. and secondly yes he does have another year with Porin Assat.. but I'm pretty sure Buffalo and Porin would be able to work out some kind of financial agreement.

Armia might not make the club straight out of camp depending on what kinds of trades we do but he would be first call up in the AHL.. Maybe Adam would pull his head out of his a$$ if he saw Armia on his wing.

Catenacci and Sundher should be in Roch in the next year as well.

- JVince117

I read somewhere (don't have time to find it) that he would still have to complete the military obligation. He was offered the deal last week and he had until today to sign it, but if he signed, he would still complete his year of service.

Also, first call up is a reach at this point. We haven't made any depth signings, so the Roch roster is farther from set than the Buffalo roster. Plus, he's still an unproven, 19 year old Euro. He's not the uber-talented, jump right to the NHL type of prospect. He will be good, possibly great. No need to rush it.

Mark Voakes.. he went for 34 points in 75 games for merks last year..

We lost Szczechura to the KHL i believe.

So he is 4th line material?

there is also Brian Flynn to play center in Roch too.. i could see them pushing adam to wing

Just thought of another wrinkle. If he had to sign by today, and he's in Finland... then today is almost over for him. What time is it in Finland? If he signed we should have some kind of confirmation by now. Maybe that's not right. Maybe my trip to the beer store is polluting my logic.

They want to move Sekera and I just heard this last weekend, they don't like Regher. My source flat out thinks he sucks.

They (management, coaches, ect) are split on Myers. Some think he will be a star, others think he is "out to lunch" and lacks the intensity to ever be more than what he is now. Only time will tell I guess.

They really like McNabb and I'm pretty sure he will have a spot in the top 6.

Weber is pretty much out the door Ive been told.

- Homer

I like so many things!

I am very curious how they think about Regehr and Myers though. That is the first I've ever really heard about them turning their back on Myers' potential.

Regehr would be really hard to move because all of the effort they put into getting him.. I would imagine from a PR standpoint it would do a lot of damage. Unless other teams too just realized he blew his chance which is what I think the NHL would do if Buffalo got rid of Leino.

I don't mind Varone either...

I am speaking almost clearly just on stats though.. I do not get to see any Amerks games and catch very few highlights on youtube or what not...

Varone and Whitmore seem to be our best 2 AHL guys now that Foligno is considered an NHL guy.

Voakes had the next most points last season behind varone, whitmore, sczchura, and foligno... then stuart.

Does anyone really have a feel or Rankin or Flynn?? they were both late additions.

Just had a CLB fan trade proposition and other people in the "nash offer" thread say that

CLB Gets: Sekera, Leino, and Enroth

BUF Gets: Nash

was a good trade... CLB fan alexzanski proposed that.

I'd take that in a HEART BEAT!!!

Hey Homer, who are they trying to bring in to if they ship Regehr, Sekera, and Weber?

Any news on Vanek's availability? Is Staal a potential target or is there another center they want to trade for who is not rumored to be on the block?

I liked Lindback just because of how big he is.. but he did not have good numbers at all this year.. wasn't he like 2-8??

Good grief.. I wonder if that means former 1st round pick Pickard might get called up form the ECHL.. or maybe even whats his name for Milwaukee Admirals.

EDIT: Caron is a UFA fyi...

If we had to pick between trading the same players for Clowe, Pavelski, or Staal... who would you guys want??

lets just imagine the package was Sekera, Adam, and a 1st?
