Yep it was 05/06, or the same year you started watching hockey. Also the year your boy Mcgrattan played 60 games (the most in his career for a season). He's played a total of 69 games in the last 4 yrs and is on his 5th organization in 5yrs. I think there are better options for the 4th line.

If you want/need a fighter sign Parros, he at least plays an average of 59 games a year.

I NEVER said McGrattan > Parros..

But McGrattan is not a bad back up plan..

that is all.

in fact.. I would take Parros, Konopka, Prust, Mitchell... then McGrattan.

That and Leopold was a complete train wreck the last time he played in Colorado. I'm not sure they'd want a second go around with him.

Stewart is in St. Louis...

he was traded for Eric Johnson....

"this is why you fail"

c'mon son!

The fact he's played 69 games since 08/09 says he a (frank)ing terrible back up plan.

Atleast I knew Stewart plays for STL..

just FYI.. Varlamov plays for Col too now.

I'm not pissing and moaning about f'n McGrattan.. he is a good fighter and can really lay the lumber when healthy for only 600k... thats all I'm sayin.

to put it in perspective Matt Frickin ELLIS has played 146 games in the last three seasons.. and he is not even a top line player on a contenders AHL team

You missed the part where I haven't gone to bed yet.

I'd take Asham over all of your options.

The fact you seem to want to sign a guy that has no place in the league anymore baffles me. I'd rather have Ellis as the 13th forward(and most of you know how I feel avout him).

Also you should know St. Louis has zero need for another puck moving defenseman. They are stacked in that department.

I am jealous...I tried to find it when I was in San Fran in Jan...to no avail.

I'll have to settle for the 2 Bells Hopslam that I have remaining.

Totally. It was $15 a pint and I was on the company dollar but it had to be mine. I said to my boss: I'll pay for this myself if I have to but I'm getting at least one of these.

Grapefruit, nose and taste, but not at all overpowering. The malt though is where it really shines it's just.... perfect. Soft, light but full of flavor - sweet at the end in a nice mellow way, the alcohol is definitely there, but in more of a way it shapes the overall flavors - like it sets a border on the sweetness and lets the hops come to the fore which they do without eradicating everything else that's happening.

Sounds delicious. Wish I liked beer. Been on an Arnie Palmer and three olives cherry kick the last week.

really.. Asham over all of the guys I mentioned? interesting..

I didn't say "I want to sign him" I said we need tough guys.. these are the available guys Prust, Parros, Konopka, Mitchell.. this McGrattan guy has some potential but he has injuries and stuff that has held him back. I didn't exactly change my avatar to him did I?

just relax okay.. I never went to bat for him about how great he is.. I just said "hey look at this guy.."

Niagara Falls+Wallenda+National TV=no traffic.

You really believe that?

And IMO there's no reason to look at him. If he's an option, we aren't going in the right direction.

Asham, Konopka, and Parros. IMO one of those guys should be signed. Out of the three, Asham actually has a game. Konopka is a PIM machine and Parros plays 5mins a night.

Asham is on his 3rd team in his last 5 years. I agree he has a good game though for a 5'11 205 lb 34 year old.. who has only played 108 games in the last 2 years.

My first choice is actually Prust - had injury concerns early on but now has played 2 full seasons logging 30 and 20 points.. 156 and 160 PIMs and can fight very well.

What's Colorado have to do with it?
Stewart is on StL now
I'm guessing They'd rather want Sekera...
Or we'd have to add something in with Leopold (maybe Adam?) to make it work...
Regardless, he's the type player I think we should target
And it seems like he could be available

They have Sekera and Leopold already in Shattenkirk, Pietrangelo, and Russell.

The trade doesn't make sense for St. Louis. Regher would be the better fit(as they may loose Jackman) and I'm not in a hurry to move him.

i dont think we can afford to trade regher.. as much as he has trailed off in his play he is still a stay at home vet that we need on this team.. our D is too young.

Thats why I said I'm not in a hurry to trade him. In fact I'd target Jackman on July 1st.

The StL blog suggested they'd be looking for a top4 caliber Dman for him,
So I threw out the 2 names from our end that would make sense
Maybe if they really liked Sekera, that frees them up to move one of the guys u mentioned?
We don't really have any "stay at home" types I could see us moving that they'd like
Maybe weber, but he's a bottom pair kinda guy

Maybe we aren't the best trade partners

Bingo.

They aren't moving Shattenkirk or Pietrangelo any time soon either.

well maybe he is sick of playing in St. Louis.. although with all the past glory years he has stuck it through in St Louis i find it hard to believe he would move now that they appear to be turning it around

If homer is right and we're looking for a RH defenseman(makes sense),
Then someone has to go
Maybe two guys if they think McNabb is ready
So I expect us to make some moves
Maybe StL isn't the best trade partner,
But Stewart is the kinda guy we need
I know he's not a center, but we need a top6 power forward badly
