Jay Bo to the Flyers? Someone is playing a trick on you Ek. Holmgren should be committed and the key thrown away if he is even discussing Bouwmeester as a "top" defenseman.

I heard on the radio, that the kings main focus this offseason is to get quick signed, long term. So I don't think we will be landing any big name ufa.

Pavelski is what 27 with a 4M price tag... marleau is 35 with a 6.9 price tag.

that is why it won't happen.

- JVince117

Marleau isn't 35 lol, he's 32. Only Kovy and Ovi have scored more goals in the past 4 seasons than Patty. He's outscored Rick Nash every year of his career except for his injury riddled 07/08 campaign.

The dollars and skill sets make much more sense for these 2 players to be traded, with obviously something else coming from the Sharks side. Something like...

To Columbus: Patrick Marleau, Antti Niemi, Jason Demers, and a 2nd round pick

To San Jose: Rick Nash and Steve Mason

The big issue with trading Patty is his NMC he signed with new contract last year. His wife is from San Jose, he has played here his whole career and I don't see him waiving his NMC to go to Columbus.

Looking at how they performed in the post season, wouldn't a big name potentially ruin the chemistry of that team?

Ask me that question in 30 years, there is a new arena deal that will last until 2039.

I'm sure he would love to move to the midwest to one of the least fan populated teams in the NHL who just traded their best player in that deal. WAHOO!!

I bet Huselius, Umberger, Brassard, Prospal, Wisniewski, and Johnson will win him over!!

Hey, new guy. It's okay to admit you were wrong. You get so defensive and resort to making fun of a fans team because of what? YOU were the one who was incorrect and then sarcastic after being shown that YOU were wrong. Try thinking before you type.

cool arena deal... that doesn't mean that there will be a team playing in it.

I'm sure those dozens and dozens of fans that show up to each game will pay the bills til 2039

And being off by 3 years on some one's age is a "who gives a poop" moment.. that guy just felt the urge to actually correct it... that is like correcting someone's grammar.

Demers would be overkill I find ,besides are defense core is pretty much set, I was thinking more of the likes of Mitchell

Players are added and adjusted throughout the days as to what percentages I feel are their most likely destinations based on the hundreds of phone calls, emails, texts, IMs and telegrams I receive.
