which is more than kovy (most likely) that is why it is stupid to compare contracts due to age and when contracts are signed, they are really only comparable if they sign the same type of contract (UFA/long term) not based when they are 23, 24 yrs old where they wont be making the money they would in their prime

id take giroux over ovechkin at this point, ovechkin now seems way to selfish and too much of a prima-donna where it seems like he has gotten away from his game and is more caring about his advertisements and media, if he gets back to where he was 2 years ago then ovechkin is a top 3 talent but it seems like since crosby went down with a concussion ovechkin hasnt been himself

yes he would he was our 3rd line center when Richards and Carter were here and still had 76 points with not nearly as much as ice time as Ovechkin

Ovi has been subpar past 2 years. Giroux had 76 points 2 years ago playing with NOBODY. He was a 2nd line W, 3rd line C. Idiot.

Giroux is a better player overall, and is 1000x the leader Ovi will ever be.

Well... Crosby, Malkin, Ovie, and Stamkos all had better first 3 years in the NHL then Giroux.

And just to be a d!ck... Giroux only had 20 more points than Vanek even did in his 3 first years in the league.
