Richards for Kane and the 7th overall pick

Just that its self..? yea I'd say no to that too.. Kane was 4th overall and a 7th. Thats a joke of an offer..

Kovy has had 5 75 pt+ seasons...

Giroux has only had 2.

Just saying... I'd take Kovy.

- JVince117

Giroux is also only 24 and has only played 3 full season 2 of which were 76 and 93 point seasons. That might be the stupidest statement I have ever heard.

nope, saying weber and parise would be flyers by the end of this offseason was dumber.

kovy was playing with a herniated disk, even missed game 2

if the flyers played a team in the 1st round that decided to play some D and a goalie that could stop a beachball do you really think he would have gotten all of those points? realistically

when he played the devils the only time he was pretty much effective was on the PP

- dmarsden2988

i made no mention of his playoff performance where he (in 2 rounds) finished (i believe) 2nd in points. that 1st round was definately more of an exception than a norm. he, however, is a damn good player. he's our top pk, pp and center. kovy doesn't kill penalties too often, in fact he's usually used to be the guy coming out of the box on a bench minor. giroux is very yound and should be our captain soon. i'd never trade him straight up for kovy. that's my point.

To Columbus: Clowe, Murray, Niemi, 2012 1st rounder

To Sharks: Nash, Mason, + late round pick

Columbus gets clowe who is a solid 50-60 point per season man, Muarry who is a absolute BEAST on D, and Niemi a cup winning goalie...

Sharks get what they want plus the fans will see a shake up... Win Win

of coarse he is going to be cheaper right now, wait until he signs his first contract where he could be a UFA, that part is really not comparable
- dmarsden2988

he already signed his first contract 3.7 cap hit for the next 3 years

Okay... Giroux stats are what htey are because he is a good passer..

Kovy is 31 and has potted a sh!t ton of goals... 38, 41, 52, 42, 52, 43, 31, 31, and 37 goal seasons.. Giroux hasn't topped 30 yet..

Alot of people can get assists.. but a guy that can pot that many goals I would take in a heartbeat.

PA Parenteau dished 49 assists this year but i wouldn't put him in the same breath.

kovy was killing penalties all season, on the pk that set a record, he even scored a short handed goal vs the flyers, he was in top 10 i believe for short handed points, and he was also out in the last min defending a lead

and we all know giroux is great and all, his 5 on 5 play could be better though, it seemed like all his points came on the PP

of course it was. Kovi is older and was drafted earlier, But sying that the flyers can get weber and parise with only 9.5 million dollara in cap space runs neck and neck.

If you are gonna use the term making people better around him... don't use Hartnell... the guy has put up 30 goals before in his career and over 25 goals numerous times as well...

If you are gonna argue that.. atleast throw out that Wayne MF'n Simmonds got 28 goals to beat his career high of 16 and 14 goal seasons.

I was looking at espn at that moment and it said 31.. but NHL has it at 29.. interesting.

I'll go with 29 though.. which makes it even more remarkable by how much he has done in a short window... Girous has a lot of work to do in the next 5 years.

FALSE

in no order.. Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos, Ovie, H. Sedin are above him...

And even a good argument could be made for Toews, Zetterberg, St. Louis, Perry, and even Iginla or Staal.

Thanks for playing... remove the Homer glasses son!

Also saying that hed take the scorer over Giroux is stupid. If Giroux shot more he'd have just a many goals as Kovi.

Theyre 2 different players that shouldnt be compared.
