fair enough.. i just find d'amigo to be a little streaky

but in fairness to him.. he does seem to find the extra gear in bigger games... if only he could do that consistantly

- Dozzer

As much as he has improved in the last year, it's really tough seeing a team buying him at a high price. He's good but not exactly the type of player that teams line up for.

whoa what?

half a point per game player this year as his best pro season.. hasnt stood out since that one WJC where he played on pace with hall

too streaky for my liking is all

i dont really see this guy being a huge impact guy in the nhl.. before the playoffs i doubt anyone would take issue to moving him.. but he caught fire for a few games and everyone is talking about nhl roster spot?!?!?!

a wee bit absurd if you ask me

if you can get a good return on the guy.. you gotta think about doing it.. he may have skill, and could be a piece.. but is by no means a guy that you dont move in a deal

- Dozzer

I don't see him as a guy who'll win a roster spot this year... maybe a quick look on the 3rd line, but he's definitely got potential. He's a strong 2-way player. Definitely someone to keep an eye on. I mean, definitely not untouchable, but not worth moving unless we get good value.

I'd love to see D'Amigo and Gardiner stay put. But that's me. For once in my lifetime, let the prospects develop HERE! I'm so jealous of these teams that draft, develop and enjoy their own.

- AnnGee44

gardiner certainly.. do not move him

and as i said.. just playing devils advocate here with d'amigo..

is he a guy who disappears for long stretches and then catches fire?

or is this a sign that his development has turned a corner and what we saw in the playoffs is what we can expect moving forward?

i'm not sold on d'amigo, but i'm not hating on him either.. neutral i guess is my stance

fair enough..

the return the leafs could get at this point is likely not worth moving him for

i can see that being the case certainly

yeah, i can see that.. the safe play would be to see how he progresses or regresses next year i suppose

i'm def okay with keeping him, but i wouldnt cry if he was part of a deal either.

D'Amigo is going to develop into one hell of a good PKer. What did the Leafs suck worse on last year? The PK. Impact doesn't always include points.
- AnnGee44

not overly familiar with his PK stats..

i am guessing this means he is effective at it? if so.. yes, hang onto him, the leafs need special teams help big time moving forward

I just remember telling Nucks fans a few years ago that he'd be better than Schroeder... I want to keep him on the Leafs until that happens

Him and Greg Scott were a huge reason why the Marlies were ranked #1 on the PK.

Kenny Ryan will be pretty decent at that job too.

Didn't say it was. But it was funny when you used Button to try and prove Dumba is super wicked amazing.

Was it as funny as when you said Dumbas defense was horrible, yet all scouting reports say other wise? Then continue to ignore the facts that proved you wrong?

eesh, nearly forgot about him. Doubt he ever makes the Leafs.

Not very often forwards make it back up from the ECHL.

Quit being an attention seeker.

Mother didnt hug you enough when you were little, or you father hugged you too much?

Which one is it?

The hype around Gardiner is getting to be ridiculous. Maybe more than Schenn had a few years ago.

the thing about this draft is.. that other than the top 3 or 4 guys there are questions marks surrounding anyone in the draft

so you could pick any guy pick 5 oand on and argue positives and negatives to their games

its a roll of the dice draft.. thats for damn sure

You know, cuz that one scouting report, that also mentions his strong defensive game and hockey smarts mentions him as a comparable.

i'm not one of the guys saying the next neidermeyer

however i do think he has shown enough to hang onto him for at least another year and see what is development curve looks like before making a decision

Can Dumba win the Calder and the Norris in his first year?
