An actual rumor was posted on the blog yesterday and was promptly taken off by mods. It was from twitter. There was like 4 different tweets "tracking" this rumor. Package included Cooter, I think...it was hilarious.

Hence the reference.

Balance it out with draft picks and prospects as need be, but honestly, I do that deal straight up.

8.75 for JVR and Coburn vs. 9.5 for Myers and Stafford, less then a mill difference in combined hits, btw.

What it comes down to is how good Buffalo thinks JVR could really be. If they consider adding a scorer of his caliber to the wings more important than seeing out the development of Myers (which is the same exact reason Philly is doing the deal), it's not exactly unrealistic.

Not to mention Buffalo is insanely deep on D.

Well i guess it also depends what else we give up. But I'd really like to see us have more than one effective shot from the point.

Next to 28 and 14 Mezzy is a guy I really don't want us to move just based on the fact the shots from the point are so weak on this team. If we ended up moving him as part of a package tho I'd really want no less than Weber coming back.

It would really be dumb for the Flyers to move 2 top 6 forwards for a defenseman. Just really dumb.
