I don't understand all the hype around Rick Nash.

He's a good player, but I have the feeling Columbus will be asking a ridiculous price for him, giving him a value based on what people think he could be.

My Offers

Deal 1

To Montreal- Rick Nash
To Columbus- First overall, Price
To Edmonton- Third overall, Beaulieu

Deal 2

To Montreal-Luongo
To Vancouver- Tinordi, Gallagher, and a third round pick in 2013

These are a pair of deals that would make a splash for Columbus and Montreal. Both teams will be looking to steal the show with a move on draft day. With the top two picks, the Blue Jackets take Yakapov and Galchenyuk to build around, and Price to backstop them. Montreal gets two impact players that will get them back into the playoffs and make headlines around the hockey world. Edmonton drops to third overall, picks Murray, and gets Beaulieu tossed in for moving down. Vancouver moves out Lu and gets the player they wanted a few years ago in Tinordi and a fan favourite in Gallagher.

Seems pretty win/win for all.

He's an elite power forward. Give him half-decent linemates and he'd put up 90 pts/yr.

No, FDR - Franklin Delano Roosevelt. President from 1931 to 1944 I believe. Elected 4 times. Good president, so they kept reelecting him.

Yes, but it was still an exception because it would have been dumb to change president in the middle of WWII.

Yeah well, they didn't expect to have any other good presidents. And, aside from the two Bush and Reagan, they were right.

Meh, the guy had basically gotten them a bit out of the Great Depression. So it might not be totally linked to the war (I don't have the years right now, but couldn't his 3rd election be before the war?).
