I disagree. While I can't stand obsessive and paranoiac red-square freaks who see the evil in everything, the province is waking up from a long comma and it comes with a bit of chaos, but damn. Europe has been laughing at us for years for being sheeps, and now there's a movement against an extraordinarely retarded and corrupted government.
Read a bit more about international news and right now, WE are looking really stupid for other reasons than that. How can a big country like us can fail and give the finger to Kyoto is just an example. - oniremosewa

When a big event comes here such as the F1 race, and we don't sellout the tickets as we do every year, and people say the reason they don;t wanna come is because of the potential "danger" from the protesters........I believe that puts us the stupid category.
Then again, I have been in that category all my life.....so I may be a little biased.

Sorry for (frank)ing with your generalization of the situation, but people whine so much about this without being affected one bit about it. Change the channel if you don't like it. |

A story about Lefebvre from Rejean Tremblay on 98,5FM...
When he was 15, he was a lifeguard for a public pool. On the job, he spotted a cute girl.
A 20-year old university student. Studying to be a doctor.
That's a hell of a challenge for a guy in Secondary 4.
He got her, married her, had 4 kids with her, and he still with her.
Amazing. This guy should have a statue built for him.

Kyoto's one thing but that was a federal decision. On a provincial level Anticosti is the (frank)ing theft of the century, $4000B of petrol lost to foreign interests... we are also paying tax money in order to help foreign multinationals drill out our natural resources. Those same companies then ship the resources back to their home country for transformation. This is highway robbery at its finest.
Saying the protests are "making us look bad" is burrowing your head in the sand and swallowing propaganda. Who the (frank) cares about appearances in the face of corruption and theft? |

dude I dont know the first thing about whats going on in Quebec. I like making blanket statements with little or no facts to provide some lol's and slither through another day.
In my early 20's I used to get fired up about politics and issues until I realized that both sides are usually (frank)ed and have self serving agendas so I decided to be blissfully ignorant and spend whatever time I have on this earth lol'ing and slithering through another day.

Anarchy is but a symptom that appears when there is civil unrest. Anarchy is synonymous with political transition. However, everyone and their moms (especially their moms) are using anarchy as a scarecrow, in order to freak out the population. |
