Whatever keeps him off the power play - Kenny_Mac
Therrien allegedly knows how to give players a role. I think we can assume Darche will be back. Hopefully Therrien makes him the 13th forward with some PK responsibility. |

Ribiero, Lapierre and Latendresse, they fired Georges Laraque,
Can't say those were huge mistakes EE, pretty sure Ribeiro would have still partied under a French front office, the rest ...meh. The other trades is what cooked Gainey's goose. imo - pete26
Agreed. Regardless of the returns no one was shocked by these guys being dispatched. |

I want the Habs to do well but there is a little part of me that hopes with all this 'french movement' that they actually end up worst than last year. Just to stick it to the franco f*ckheads that b!tched about last year. |

That would be fine, as long as Therrien doesn't like him as much as Jacques Martin did and give him more PP time than Eller or even Cole got early in the year |

if you compare him to Weber yes but I'm pretty sure there are better options out there for a depth d-man. |

He was doing well in Nashville. He hits like a train.
Wouldn't mind him on the 3rd pairing with Emelin. |

I just think sooner or later Cole slows down (mind you I said the same before last year) and I think Pacioretty just caught fire and had one of those seasons where everything he shot went in somehow... not 100% convinced he can repeat it, same for DD.
and... was anyone else good? |

With a Bottom 6 forwards looking like Bernier Gervais Geoffrion Darche Latendresse and Laraque
Ya they will be worse |

I think Cole will have another year, maybe 2 with top 6 potential and then will make a good third liner. He's big and hits, and can be some great secondary scoring in the last half of the contract. By that time, we should be able to replace him with a young guy. |

Cole Pacioretty and DD should be a good second line
