better than what they had before, which was no one teaching Subban anything.

But they were anglophones, they must have done a better than job than any french guy possibly could.

Not the same team, that one moved to St Louis in 1934.

Yet they didn't.

Because the Habs would have NEVER traded Roy to the Nordiques.

It was part of the problem, but some of that blame has to still be put on Riberio.

Hopefully Identifing players that are less likely to develop ego problems as quickly as Riberio did is the first solution.

And not, we have Melanby and Lefebvre now they will set the kid straight.

There are lots of players that have egos, doesn't mean we have to lose them for Janne Ninimaa

Am I the only one a little pissed off that Martin Lapointe, after turning down the Habs as a player for 500 000$ more from Boston gets to have a job in Montreal now?

He'll have the opportunity to explain himself.

And I wouldn't put too much responsibility on the player for a negotiation between a GM and an agent.

I think Portland clinched it with that goal. Denver is finished.

no. what did he care about the extra $500,000? (which, after the extra taxes and agent costs, doesn't amount to a huge sum for a player signing a $20-million deal.) he went to a team that wasn't as rudderless and had a better shot at winning.

That's the thing, in the end he's the one who made the decision.

My family comes from ville St-Pierre, the Habs even contacted them to try to convince Martin Lapointe to come over. They gave the guy a royal treatment to convince him and he still turned them down....

And he's supposed to help explain to our young players how important it is to play for the Canadiens?

Exactly now he has the chance to build a rudder instead of aimlessly floating around.
