I agree with what you are saying but don't see how it has anything to do with my post? I was referring to fan reaction and non reaction. Back to your post, there seems to be a lot of people leaving on their own accord or some other sketchy way. To me and I'm guessing a lot of others its concerning. You are saying today(and yesterday) that these guys are getting fired which doesn't seem to be the case? - Cptmjl
if they are leaving than yes, its sketchy. if they are "leaving" because they are given the option of leaving or being fired, its a different story.
do we know that most of these guys are actually leaving or are we forced to read between the lines? |

Just trying to be realistic....Garrison will probably go somewhere else although we could definitely use him.
I'm so unsure of what Garth is going to do with this draft that I didn't even bother including potential ideas in my Opening Night roster.
If we do draft Murray I'd like to see...
Hamonic - MacDonald
Donovan - Streit
Murray - Garrison
That would be a pretty decent defense. Much of an upgrade to last year. - kcNYI
I was joking with you. While most fans here are holding out for Suter and Parise. You are hoping for Garrison and Ulstrum.

Agreed JAck is to soft and does not have enough hockey smarts to coach a team. In fact I talked last night to an ex AHL coach who said he is coaching like an AHL coach coaches. He is kind of babying the young guys and not challenging them at all. I totally agreed with him and think the Islanders need a coach to go in there and actually make them work. This team looked lazy so many times during the games. They stopped skating stopped playing everything. They were embarassing at times - kasperrko
For more times than not. It was hard to watch at times. What made it even more infuriating was the Jack the pizza man post game interview. You know, the one where he said that the team put forth a good defensive effort in a 5-0 loss to the Devils. I'll never forget that. |

No wonder our young players want to re-sign with us. It's club med. These kids are way too comfortable. - ses111
AHL and NHL are two totally different leagues. Ahl you are developing the young guys into a system and hope they continue to work hard and use that system into the NHL. Jack seems like he is still developing guys at the NHL coaching them like they are still in the AHL. I was told not everyone can coach in the NHL as it is more demanding and a lot faster and more physical. WE need a coach who can coach NHL style not AHL style. We shall see this year though how far Jack makes it into the season |

We are forced to read between the lines. There seems to be a decent amount of people leaving for some reason? There doesn't seem to be any stability what so ever. That to me is a concern. I don't think you can justify it by saying they want to win when they have Capuano on for another year? |

Bingo. He hasn't been productive. If you look at his year-end numbers, they're not terrible, but not 1st line numbers. But the real problem with his numbers are that they are inflated by scoring bursts in the second half of seasons, when the team is out of the playoff picture. Look at the breakdown of his KO's numbers last year. He did squat during the time when the Isles could actually say they were in a playoff race. When they fell out, KO went on a tear. The same with Bailey and Grabs.
PAP was scoring from the drop of the puck in October. He produced when the team was in the playoff race, and when they were out of it. Until guys like KO, Bailey and Grabs start scoring and contributing when the team is in the playoff race, none of them should be considered first line players over a guy like PAP. - Jethro09
the only hope i hold out for KO lack of production was the really tough shoulder injury; maybe he was healed physically but his play was effected by not getting in the dirty areas to not get injured....again, definitely excuses but anyone who has had a significant injury in their life knows there is something behind it.
i hope the offseason he becomes totally healed and becomes the player he is built to be...if not, (frank) him |

Probably far enough into the season to where it doesn't matter whether he gets fired or not. |

BREAKING NEWS!! Yo Phi Phat from the Thailand Super League was seen leaving on his Rickshaw after declining to sigh with the Isles. When asked why he declined, Yo Phi laughed and said "Seriously'? - Vukota

Moron. Just like Lou and the Devils and Lombardi and the Kings. Bunch of overspending idiots. When is this guy going to come out from under his rock? |
