Defenseman are a crap shoot in any round. I'm of the belief that unless you're getting a "cant miss" type of d-man, you should be taking a forward. So much of the leagues best defenseman have been from later rounds. It's so hard to project how these kids are going to match up to NHL size and talent. If it's a Dought/Pietrangelo type I get it. But most of the time it won't be so if there is a talented forward, it's always the safer pick.

Cam Fowler? Not in the same tier as Doughty, but still a solid young d-man. I could be way off here, but based on the limited stuff I've read, Murray seems similar, and will probably fall for the same reasons. Unless teams learned how dumb they were for passing on Fowler for that long...

Yeah he's solid, I'm not saying that you are a terrible GM if you take a flyer on a defenseman in the top 10 or mid-round range. I'm just saying that generally speaking defenseman are far harder to project than forwards. Just saying that if you have a forward and a dman that are generally regarded as being equally skilled at their respective positions, I'd prefer the forward.

Tell me you are on crack seriously tell me you have something wrong with you. Vezina really? that guyw ould have never ever won anything. He already won teh biggest bust ever award but as a goalie he was middle of the pack guy and always was. I sotn care if he made the all star game we had to send someone. it was pathetic we had to send him that is how bad the team was. Please I am losing my freakign mind over here

he would own the Hart too.. but they figured they would name the goalie one after him
