This is the best way to treat the draft. You have a couple of guys you would like the Isles to draft and reserve judgement on others. You really need to wait a few years down the line to judge a draft. I never understood flipping out on draft night and making a judgement unless your team passed on a sure fire star and who all the experts say will be a star. Even then that star player can crash and burn.

I mean if they pick Tom Wilson with the 4th overall you can bet I'm flipping sh!t, but to a degree yeah there's no reason to go nuts on draft night.

That's a real tempting deal.. being able to draft 4 & 5.. i think Murry will be gone by 4.. but being able to grab a player like Forsberg or Grigorenko & still be able to grab Dumba or Reinhart is pretty enticing.

I like Strome alot.. & i might pull the trigger on that deal... but i dont think Toronto would.

Actually toronto probably would or it might be a bit less though we get our center and you guys get your defense. Even if its just franson and another mid prospect you guys draft 2 defenders in matt dumba and ryan murray, franson added to that and we get our centerman. I would pull the trigger.

He probably will, columbus needs forwards. They will prob draft gal, montreal takes forsberg or grig, you guys take murray, you guys take dumba, and its a done deal. You have to base things on needs what the team needs, columbus does not need D nor does montreal.

That is true though if you drafted both dumba and murray then you have no need to worry about defense for a while and i highly doubt montreal takes forsberg over grig, forsberg is a bigger ? than grig i would say... hasnt really produced in statistics but has upside. My opinion you guys need defence bad, drafting both murray and dumba would be insane in a good way.

I cant argue with that at all... Dumba isnt the polished/well rounded player Murray is, but he's a beast, the kind the Islanders havent had in a long long time.

In the end if the islanders traded strome for 1st Rounder 2012, Franson+ they would be getting the help they need on D... islanders forwards between tavares, okposo, parenteau, moulson, bailey, grabner, niederreiter is enough upside with talent to progress to conceive 2 of your top lines.

Would suck to see ryan murray not make it to 4th, in my opinion im basing it on team needs and i would hate to see the islanders not get murray when both columbus and montreal need forwards. Where in my opinon i can see grig or galchenyuk not taken, its a tough decision though i base it on what the teams really need. If you guys lose parenteau, thats a tough loss, despite the fact he should be encouraged to stay since he played so well with tavares and moulson

It seems from your postings that Murray won't be there at #4. If that is the case I think they need dto move up 2 spots and somehow get Columbus' pick. How about our #1 and our #3 pick to move up two spots...

I agree with everything in this post. One of Gally or Murray or Grigs would be best case scenario as far as I'm concerned.
