That Larry Brooks if full of Crap.. he spent the whole Stanley cup talking about Parise's last games as a Devil and heading to Broadway.

I can't believe Zack doesn't want to play in a system where if you don't dive head first into every slap shot u get benched... what is he nuts?

Just Larry being Larry. Larry thinks all top FA's need to play with the Rangers.

I hate him... I'm not a Devils fan obviously. They were in the stanley cup final and that a-hat kept talking about Parise being gone... just classless.

My guess is Parise is a Devil next year. the quote from their locker room after game 6 from one of their players "I would rather be in this locker room than anywhere else in the world." speaks volumes to how that team feels about each other.. volumes. (was it Elias? )

I Loathe Larry. I rather Parise stay with the Devils if he does not sign with the Isles of course.

Based on all the quotes I've seen on Twitter today, it sounds like he wants to stay. Seems like the only thing that may hold it up is whether or not the Devils can afford to pay him exactly what he commands.

A power forward that drives to the net and is relentless along the boards. We didn't see that a lot this year or last (well, we didn't see him much at all last year with the injury), but we did see that style of play in his first two years. I know everyone likes to hate on Botta here, but I remember what he wrote after the first game of the 2009-10 season against the Penguins: "Kyle Okposo. Wow." He was right about that. Okposo came out of the gate flying in that season and maintained an effective style of play that whole year. He built on a nice season from the year before. No, he never dropped the gloves or anything like that, but the guy was great along the boards those first two seasons, and was able to drop a shoulder and go to the net. His biggest flaw then was simply hitting the net with his shot. And he didn't do it all just late in those seasons either. 27 of his 52 points in 09-10 came from Oct.-Dec., and he started the season off on a six-game point streak.

Where has that game gone since he's come back? I don't know. It's possible that a major injury during a critical year of his development had a longer term impact on him. It's possible he's not as committed as he was. It's possible he's been poorly coached. I don't have an answer, but I do think he deserves some time to find that game again before we give up on him. I'm not talking about 35 goals a year. I don't think he's done that at any level. But a 25 goal scorer that can dig pucks out of the corners and cause some chaos in front? I'd sign up for that. We shouldn't write him off entirely because of this past season is what I'm saying. He's actually shown us something in previous seasons.

of course you would...because you like female doging and moaning and then once a plan is thrown onto the table, you prefer to poop on it so you can continue female doging and moaning and talk about how "unaggressive" garth is and that the only day he shows up is draft day. we;ve all heard it before, we all know how you and your henchmen feel.

The truth is this. As a fan of the New York Islanders I am sick and of tired of all the bull crap with this organization. The truth is that the Islanders have not been a winning team since the early 90's. The Truth is Wang is in this for property and that is all. If the PRoperty was not part of the deal eh would not be here. The truth is this team is running like a day care center. The truth is each year we do nothing what so ever to improve the team on the ice. The truth is we have a goaltender who is under contract who has to be in the top of the worse players ever to be signed. The truth is we have a coach who is clueless. The truth is we havea GM that knows nothing about the position and only listens to Wang. you want more truths buddy. You want to open your eyes and realize that this team is going no where fast and that we are so irrelevant right now we are not mention in hardly any media and other teams actually laugh at us. If you love all that great for you but it is a shame what has happened to this team and the TRUTH is the Islanders are now the bottom of the barrel team.

Do you think Tavares keeps his mouth shut until after 2015 rolls around or do you think we hear from him before should they not make the playoffs this season or next?

Knowing the competitor he is, not making the playoffs must be eating him up.

Hey Snow, if you're listening, acquire one good forward with size and scoring ability and one good d-man with size and snarl. (i know, i know....quit dreaming...)

So would I but I don't think he's a power forward? He doesn't play that kind of game. As far as him causing some chaos in front of the net I have not seen that yet in any sense. I don't have a problem with him honestly, I just don't think he's going to be this "power forward" a lot of people are expecting. 25 goal forward I think is a good estimation which I'm fine with. If we could trade him in a package for a top 2 Dman or forward with more upside I wouldn't be upset with that either as well as keeping him.

Zach's too young and talented still to be playing for the rags. They will sign him after the contract he signs this summer and grossly overpay him, thus giving him a nice chunk o' cash to retire on.
