before everyone goes off on a tangent about how i support all islander players getting injured...with regard to JUST okposo, ill copy and paste what UIF said and say that i totally agree:

Let's not forget that, with KO, in his rookie season (18g, 39pts) and the season after (19g, 52pts), most of us felt like KO was on his way to becoming the player we'd hoped he'd be. Maybe we wanted a few more goals in that second season, but most were generally happy with how he approached the game. Then he was derailed the next season with the injury and this season, despite the late points surge, left a lot to be desired. I guess my point is that before the injury, he was consistently one of the better players on the ice for the Isles even when he didn't put points up. That wasn't the case after the injury. So it's not like he's been a disappointment his entire time on the Isles. I think he deserves a bit more time.

I want the Islander players to play hard and show up every night not only when the pressure is off. If a guy is not a big scorer fine then he better bring other things to the table. KO has not always used his size to his advantage.

The guy is not all that big and has legs like a giraffe, that's why he looks like he's going to fall at just about all times. BTW, you should replace "always" with ever or never.

I think what you see is what you get from Okposo, a decent second liner and good third. I think some fans put some lofty expectations on the kid. Some thinking he was the next Iginla which I found funny. His game NEVER resembled Iginla's in any way. Wonder why they said that? Strange

Ex-GM Lawton says NHL teams will have to guarantee roster spot to Schultz to get him to sign.

Maybe we could end up being players for him.

Yeah, we are pretty good at throwing kids in the fire. In all seriousness I'd be hesitant to jump on this band wagon, we've all seen this show before.

Plenty of spots with the Isles. No reason the Isles should not make a big push for him. I love the idea of adding Schultz and Murray.

I think this would be a risk worth taking. Isles need to take a gamble. This will prove Snow is agressive.

Snow is about as aggressive as a sloth on ludes. We aren't going after Shultz.

An ELC-length deal would be fine with me. 3 years, at probably a pretty respectable salary. If the kids a joke, bury him in the minors and oh well we tried.

That Larry Brooks if full of Crap.. he spent the whole Stanley cup talking about Parise's last games as a Devil and heading to Broadway.

I can't believe Zack doesn't want to play in a system where if you don't dive head first into every slap shot u get benched... what is he nuts?

of course you would...because you like female doging and moaning and then once a plan is thrown onto the table, you prefer to poop on it so you can continue female doging and moaning and talk about how "unaggressive" garth is and that the only day he shows up is draft day. we;ve all heard it before, we all know how you and your henchmen feel.
