he reminds me of pominville - b0s0o1
I like him a bit more than Pominville. And that's saying something because Pommer is currently my favorite guy on the Sabres. I'm also cautiously optimistic about Foligno and McNabb. They're my up and coming guys. I think if Foligno can continue to be a force on the ice, not just offensively but physically, he could be one of the future leaders on this team. I like the way he's so poised already with the media. He just oozes confidence. Let's see if he can keep it up.

Care to elaborate on what you mean by this? It seems like it's some sort of sarcastic remark in reference to the majority of the guys we have on our team, but I'm not sure if that's how you intended it.

it is sarcastic...
hockey players will go through a wall to get the puck, to score a goal, to win...
skill players will dangle hoping to get the puck, hoping they don't get hurt, hoping they'll win, preferably with a pretty play...
from 1997 to 2008, darcy regier has leaned heavily towards the skill side of the equation...
end result, one of the easiest teams to play against...
foligno will go through you to get what he wants...it seems as if mcnabb's cut from the same cloth
All I want to say is who wouldn't want Empire or a local sports station back??
It hasn't happend for one reason: WNY's population was shrinking then and is even smaller now. Empire was losing a ton of money.
And 12-3 will always be the Jime Rome Show. Like him or not he has a gigantic following and gets monster ratings in Buffalove. - Morskdog89
Yeah we would all love a local sports network like an Empire was but I dont think they could come up with enough good local programming that people would watch. Empire used to show taped VHS quality high school baseball and football so its no wonder they lost money.

I thought that's what you meant. Just wanted to make sure I was understanding you right. I like McNabb and Foligno, though I think Foligno will be more of an impact player sooner. Probably because of the position he plays. D is a lot harder for young guys. I think McNabb is going to be a key to the D here for years to come though. I do feel like he's going to end up in Rochester at the beginning of the year. There's just no space and I'd rather he hone his offensive skills there a bit more anyway. I liked what I saw out of him in Rochester when he was running the PP.

Technology has advancd 20 fold since empire shut down a decade ago. They could still do it on the cheap and put out high quality video.
I think I'd be happy to have him come back at the price of 1.2-1.8. But that's it. I'm not giving him more than that. The only reason I even start it at 1.2 is because that's what McCormick is making and I would think Gaustad would want at least that and probably deserves more than what McCormick is making anyway. - HonkFortheGoose
hes clearly going to get at LEAST 2.8 per on the open market....teams always way overpay in free agency...hence why I wouldnt touch parise with a ten foot pole
