I'm surprised RJ is taking on more games . Plus signing a multi year deal. I thought we were all doomed with him hinting on retirement .

Me too, he said towards the end of the year that his reduced schedule was probably more reduced that it needed to be, but still, I expected him and Harry to fade out together. I wouldn't be surprised if Rick wanted Harry out of the booth though... he was always having to correct him... Even the best announcers would have an greatly increased workload having to clean up Harry's messes. I do wonder what happens with the rest of the games though... no way RJ calls all 82 games this year. Does Kevin get away duties?

Ted Black should take notes from the team that just won the cup instead of worring about who the hell is going to be in the booth calling the games. Because radio shows and guys in the booth win the cup all the time.

That Jeff Carter guy isn't a bad player.

The offseason started what 12 hours ago. . . We are already blasting them because the Sabre PR guy, who has nothing to do with trades and roster movement is talking about a new Sabres radio show and changes in the broadcast booth.

I thought it was great that Richards and Carter passed the cup off to each other right in a row, suck it Philly!

It's too bad the kings won, we really could've used a few pieces off their roster, which I'm assuming will stay largely the same now that they have a cup together.

It was nice to see a classy series this year, even if the play was a bit boring, at least there were no ridiculous suspensions or awful boarding calls, or biting.

As president of the Buffalo Sabres, Ted oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the franchise, with specific focus on making the Buffalo Sabres the premier destination for NHL players and the Sabres’ current and future employees. In addition, Ted will provide strategic and creative leadership in areas including corporate partnerships, advertising, NHL relations, team marketing, Sabres’ television broadcasts, fan relations and ticket sales.

Nope. Nothing to do with "taking notes"

Back in Pittsburgh and now in Buffalo, Black is/was responsible for the business side of things. He does not have input on the roster, strategies, coaching, etc.

Just PR is a pretty good summation.

You have horrible opinions and knee jerk pessimistic reactions to everything so it makes it pretty easy to find the energy to respond to you.

Ted Black on WGR:

No more Rags/Isles/Devils pregame and intermission reports. Another good non-roster move to go with yesterdays announcements.

Even I have more than one bank account.

Where I work, if you're discovered leaking personal info about someone's account you don't work there anymore.

Then there's investments, which FNB doesn't hold, money mutual accounts... 80k in a checking account is fine.

My guess would be he probably doesn't have a mortgage or car payment either. If you can afford to pay cash for that stuff, you probably do.
