for some reason i thought it was 55. i think their last cup was in 1961? so if had bothered to do the math, i would know that's not 55.
- hammarby31

Yep, 1961. It was second longest, though

The refs missed a minor on Stoll right before the major on Bernier, and the linesman really screwed the pooch right before Carter's second goal
- Jsaquella

Can you explain? I missed the first period...I was playing baseball.

Now the makeup calls can start. NJ needs to go 100% on the PP tonight

Not on NBCSports. Rudy doesn't need makeup calls. He just outworks people.

I expect something like that from Rinaldo. Thats something that would cost us the series and people would burn down his house.
- stveshdy

i would.

Well, Steven Gionta had the puck, facing boards near benches, and Stoll popped him from behind. Nothing serious, but would have been a legit call. Then Steve Bernier ran Rob Scuderi from behind, opened up his face and got tossed.

LA Scored 3 times on the major PP and that was pretty much it.

The lines man got in the way of a Jersey defenseman a few seconds before Carter's second goal that made it 4-0

maybe i'm thinking of the red wings, as their last cup before beating the flyers in 97 was in 55, iirc. that 55 is coming from somewhere.

I've only witness one championship in my lifetime. 2008 Phils. I would include the 1983 Sixers but I was only two and dont remember.

I'm surprised he never played in the NFL. The way he tossed offensive lineman around like feathers.

Let's hope 55 isn't relevant in 2030

I actually went to see him speak personally. He wasnt even close to being as small as Sean Astin. Just kidding.

Its amazing how well Carter can play without 2 broken feet, a blown up knee, or a separated shoulder.
